ASRC Federal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Elastic Architect/Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of our Elastic Stack infrastructure. This role is critical for building and maintaining robust, scalable data solutions that provide actionable insights from complex data sets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, search technologies, and big data processing. This position will support our DCSA contract based at Quantico VA.
Remote flexibility available! Telework offered with a requirement to be onsite up to three (3) days a week at Quantico Marine Corps Base VA.
Position Description:
The Elastic Architect/Engineer is a critical role responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and operational support of the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats). This position focuses on architecting solutions for large-scale data ingestion, real-time search and analytics, and visualization to maintain a strong data-driven decision-making capability and adhere to relevant data governance policies. The Elastic Architect/Engineer will collaborate with cybersecurity professionals, engineers, and IT staff to build and enhance data pipelines, create insightful dashboards, and improve the overall data platform.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Designs and defines system architecture and solutions for integrating multiple platforms, operating systems, cloud and applications. Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software/cloud compatibility and maintenance of system security. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and documents the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards and overall enterprise architecture. Assists in the development and management of an architecture governance process. Develops and recommends corrective actions and system solutions. Provides technical guidance for database administrators, software developers, and other stakeholders. Understands and determines requirements of infrastructure, network, and security in third party cloud offerings. Translates business requirements into functional and technical architecture. May guide decisions on which technologies to implement, operational planning and useful life of products. Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10-12 years of experience in a related or applicable field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
