The Senior EHS Engineer is responsible for ensuring manufacturing facilities comply with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and internal standards. This role analyzes risks, develops and implements safety and sustainability programs, and partners with operations to reduce environmental impact while supporting production goals. The position also supports regulatory audits and government agency visits.
About the job:
Analyze EHS data to develop and implement strategies that reduce accidents, injuries, and environmental risks.
Design and implement process improvements to minimize safety incidents and environmental impact while balancing manufacturing and production requirements.
Monitor and assess upcoming regulatory changes and implement necessary actions to ensure continued compliance with local laws.
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Support internal and external audits, including inspections by government agencies.
Lead and support sustainability programs to ensure company compliance and continuous improvement.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
About you:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent university education.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS).
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with EHS compliance requirements and programs.
Experience with sustainability initiatives and emerging sustainability programs.
Safety Officer 4 certification required.
Experience working in global manufacturing environments preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
