
The team supporting this role is a collaborative and purpose-driven group focused on promoting child safety and wellbeing through effective education and communication initiatives. The team values integrity, clarity, and advocacy, ensuring consistent messaging, awareness, and education that strengthen a culture of child safety across Tasmania’s health services.
The Senior Education Officer– Child Safety and Wellbeing (CSW) will work with the Principal Policy Officer to plan, coordinate and deliver learning and development and stakeholder engagement plans on a range of approved projects and strategic initiatives relating to safeguarding children and young people across the Department of Health and assist in the delivery of CSW Service priorities.
Develop, deliver and evaluate training programs on child safeguarding topics across the Department of Health.

The Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, as well as district hospitals and ambulance services. Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

$111,754 to $126,579 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
