Senior Economist / Senior Policy Analyst, Intergenerational Reporting (two vacancies)
Join Treasury's Intergenerational Reporting Branch and contribute to economic modelling, research and policy analysis that informs Government decision-making on fiscal sustainability, demographic change, climate impacts and the state's long-term economic outlook.

Role impact & contribution
You'll collaborate with colleagues across Treasury and government agencies to tackle some of NSW's most significant long-term economic and policy challenges. You might be analysing demographic, fiscal and economic trends, developing and refining quantitative models, undertaking policy research, or preparing advice and recommendations for senior decision-makers, including the Treasurer and Treasury Executive. You'll lead complex projects, engage with stakeholders across government, and translate technical analysis into clear, practical insights that inform policy and investment decisions. You'll build understanding of the opportunities and risks shaping NSW's future, while mentoring team members and fostering a collaborative, inclusive workplace culture.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for ongoing employment at NSW Treasury, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia.
