About the role:

We are seeking a talented Senior Dry Utilities Engineer to join our Land Development team in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will support the design and delivery of power, telecommunications, and street lighting infrastructure for major master-planning and land development projects across the Kingdom, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver innovative, sustainable, and high-quality utility solutions.

Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:

• Prepare designs and calculations to utility authority standards
• Preparation of electrical load calculations, load schedules, LV schedules and voltage drop calculations, cable de-rating calculations, etc.
• Prepare and review designs for the following:
• HV, MV and LV networks including the preparation of single line diagrams and layouts for infrastructure projects
• Telecommunication infrastructure network design and knowledge of GSM coverage requirements including preparation of layouts and coverage drawings
• Street lighting network design including preparation of single line diagrams, layouts and Voltage drop calculations
• Street lighting for tunnels/underpasses
• Prepare lux calculations (DiaLux software) for street lighting
• Seek the optimal solution from internal and external sources for any design-related issues
• Maintain ownership of the Electrical engineering analysis and design
• Ability to inspect works carried out on site and monitor quality and compliance with design drawings.
• Ensure all design work is carried out in accordance with Company’s quality standard procedures
• Review drawings, reports, specifications and Materials submitted at each stage of the Design / Construction to ensure completeness, correctness, compliance with the Scope of work and agreements requirements.
• Be able to present technical aspects of a project and Electrical design approach to technical and non-technical team members/stakeholders
• Produce written reports for various stages of the project life cycle, including writing methodologies, case studies, and other proposal supporting information.
• Conduct a technical review on progress and provide design updates to the project design managers, project managers and where required client
• Support continuous improvement and digital ways of working, sharing knowledge and lessons learned.

Candidate Specification:

• Degree qualified to a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (or any relevant discipline)
• Professionally qualified with an internationally recognised Engineering Institution
• The candidate must have at least 5 years’ experience in design related projects
• A strong technical focus, able to innovate and lead by example
• Demonstrable record of successfully designing and delivering projects
• Experienced in using analytical/design software such as Dialux, ETAP, Amtech
• Experienced in district cooling requirements and load demand calculations
• Demonstrable experience of planning and monitoring project programmes, costs and resources ensuring delivery to time and budget.
• Excellent knowledge of current international codes and local Saudi regulations
• Experience in ProjectWise, Infraworks, Navisworks, Openutilities etc is preferble
• Ability to communicate confidently and professionally in English with all levels of staff and clients
• Willingness to travel for short term assignments would be preferred.
