Key Role

Provide specialist drafting and design leadership across complex, multidisciplinary energy and infrastructure projects. The role focuses on producing and approving high‑quality technical drawings, setting drafting standards, providing guidance to junior draughting staff, and ensuring design outputs are accurate, compliant and aligned with engineering intent.

• Lead preparation, coordination and review of complex engineering drawings across project phases (concept, basic and detailed design)
• Produce and approve detailed layouts, general arrangements, sections, details and schedules in line with engineering requirements
• Act as technical authority for drafting standards, procedures and quality control within the discipline
• Coordinate drawing inputs across disciplines to ensure integrated and clash‑free designs
• Review and verify drawings for accuracy, constructability, compliance with standards and alignment with design intent
• Develop and maintain CAD/BIM standards, templates and workflows in accordance with company and project requirements
• Provide expert support during construction and commissioning, including resolution of drawing queries, red‑line incorporation and as‑built documentation
• Interface with engineers, project managers, clients and contractors to clarify design requirements and resolve technical issues
• Mentor and support intermediate and senior draughtsmen, providing guidance on complex detailing and best practice
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, client specifications and internal quality management systems

• Contributing to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm

• Embracing, displaying, and promoting the company values and ensuring a safe working environment is always maintained

• Relevant Diploma or Qualification in Engineering Draughting / Design
• 15+ years’ experience in engineering drafting within energy, infrastructure, industrial or related sectors
• Advanced proficiency in relevant CAD/BIM software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Plant 3D or equivalent)
• Demonstrated experience leading drafting deliverables on large, complex projects
