This is a hybrid position with 4 days/week in office and 1 day/week remote.​The position can be located in West Chester, OH, St Catharines, ON or Etobicoke, ON.

Provide Drafting Expertise and Collaborate to Deliver Solutions

As the Senior Drafter, you will provide technical leadership while working alongside a talent team of drafting professionals producing shop drawings, fabrication packages, and related documentation enabling Operations and Manufacturing to produce high quality products for curtain wall projects. You will leverage your drafting expertise and curtain wall knowledge to develop team members skills to produce drawing packages that meet quality requirements, drafting standards, ease of manufacturing, and project schedules.

POSITION D ESCRIPTION

Your top priority is providing subject matter expertise in Drafting and preparing shop drawing packages conforming to product specifications, drafting standards and project timelines.

  • Prepare/review shop drawings, fabrication packages, and related documentation to meet project performance requirements and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Provide deliverables for projects aligned with identified priorities and overall schedules.
  • Collaborate with Drafting team leadership to provide training and mentoring to team members to develop their skills and increase productivity.

EXPERIENCE

  • Associate degree in a construction related field such as engineering, drafting, or design. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years engineering, design or drafting experience.
  • Experience in the curtain wall industry strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and 3D modeling software experience (i.e., Revit, Inventor, Rhino) strongly preferred.
  • Experience with system design, testing standards and procedures, fabrication and assembly techniques, and field installation procedures preferred.

Additional Details:

  • Base salary range of $70k - $110k CAD. Base salary for this position may vary based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and skills.
