Job Description

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Document Controller to support a large-scale solar farm project based in Charleville, Co. Cork This is a key role in ensuring that all project documentation is managed efficiently and in line with industry and client standards. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, construction, and management teams to maintain document control systems and ensure accurate record keeping. The preferred candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within a construction or engineering environment, with strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain all project documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures.

  • Set up, update, and control document registers and filing systems for drawings, specifications, and correspondence.

  • Ensure timely distribution of documents to relevant stakeholders both internally and externally.

  • Track revisions of documents and drawings to ensure the most up-to-date information is in circulation.

  • Support the project team in document retrieval and provide training on document control systems when necessary.

  • Conduct regular audits of document control processes and identify areas for improvement.

  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure proper documentation submission and review.

  • Prepare reports and summaries related to document status for project managers and senior leadership.

  • Assist with administrative tasks related to project coordination and document archiving at project close-out.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Document Controller role within construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.

  • Strong understanding of document control systems and ISO document management standards.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document control platforms such as Aconex, SharePoint, or similar.

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise across multiple teams and stakeholders.

  • Full clean driving licence and availability to work on-site in Charleville, Co. Cork.
