The Wealth Management Expertise and Excellence Administrative Department is a strategic partner of the business development teams, providing them with an integrated ecosystem filled with content, expertise and tools to support the growth and performance of our wealth management networks. It ensures the design, structuring and deployment of a consistent and distinctive offer aligned with strategic directions and regulatory requirements. Through its initiatives, the administrative department aims to elevate advisors’ expertise, optimize business practices and accelerate business operations through training, coaching, mentoring and marketing strategies. As a result, it directly contributes to improving distribution performance, advice quality and the member and client experience, while positioning Desjardins as a leader in wealth management sector. More specifically, you will be required to:Help the Director define strategic directions

  • Help with the definition of strategic directions and manage their implementation by making sure they’re aligned with wealth management business priorities
  • Develop and carry out the administrative department’s business plan, ensuring the delivery of initiatives, team performance and account rendering
  • Design, structure and roll out an integrated offer made up of content, tools and expertise to provide business development teams across all networks with effective support
  • Optimize business practices, processes, and use of tools (including the CRM) to improve productivity, advisory quality and the member and client experience
  • Implement skills development and structured training strategies, as well as targeted coaching approaches to accelerate the development of advisor and manager expertise
  • Launch marketing strategies and business initiatives to promote the adoption and growth of investment solutions
  • Ensure rigorous oversight of the regulatory framework, certifications and practice standards to guarantee compliance and professional excellence
  • Mobilize teams and implement management practices that foster performance, talent development, collaboration and adherence to Desjardins’s cooperative values.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec
  • Expert proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
  • In-depth knowledge of wealth management concepts, particularly those established by the Institute of Financial Planning and the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute
  • In-depth knowledge of the regulatory framework surrounding the distribution of investment solutions in Canada (CIRO, AMF [Mutual Funds])
  • In-depth knowledge of the Canadian wealth management industry (competitive environment)
  • Available for travel is required 30% to 40% of the time
