Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful results for clients. Drawing on our expertise in consulting, data analytics, technology, payments and economics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients. VCA's core client segments include issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, payment enablers and governments.

Within VCA exists VCA Implementation Services (VIS), a hands-on execution partner, implementing, operating, and optimizing Visa products in client environments to accelerate activation, portfolio growth, risk control, and data-driven performance.

Job Description

The VIS team is seeking a Senior Director to lead its Implementation Services practice in Brazil. This executive will be responsible for defining and executing the strategic vision for implementation and transformation services, overseeing large-scale client engagements, and driving the adoption of Visa products, Value Added Services (VAS), Digital Transformation initiatives, and Risk solutions across the payment's ecosystem.

The Senior Director will lead a large, high-performing team, ensuring delivery excellence, operational scalability, and measurable business outcomes. This leader will oversee a portfolio of complex, multi-year, multi-workstream programs involving cross-functional teams across Product, Technology, Risk, Client Services, Sales, Data Science, Operations, and external partners.

The role requires deep expertise in the payments industry, strong executive presence, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while driving transformation, innovation, and growth across Visa’s clients and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Organizational Management

  • Lead and develop a large-scale organization consisting of 20+ FTEs and 200+ contractors across multiple delivery disciplines.
  • Define the strategic direction, operating model, talent strategy, and long-term roadmap for the Implementation Services practice.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and delivery excellence.
  • Develop future leaders and succession plans while ensuring organizational scalability and operational resilience.
  • Own budget planning, financial performance, workforce strategy, and resource allocation across the organization, ensuring efficient deployment of talent, contractors, and investments while meeting growth, profitability, and delivery objectives.

Delivery Excellence & Frameworks

  • Provide executive oversight of a portfolio of highly complex transformation programs, ensuring successful delivery of strategic outcomes for Visa and its clients.
  • Ensure consistent delivery standards, risk management practices, and operational controls across all engagements.
  • Oversee multi-million-dollar programs and initiatives with significant business, operational, and client impact.
  • Establish and continuously evolve delivery frameworks, governance models, implementation methodologies, and operational best practices.
  • Drive data-driven decision-making, performance management, and continuous process improvement.
  • Ensure quality, scalability, profitability, and client satisfaction across all engagements.
  • Identify opportunities to accelerate digital adoption, improve operational performance, and generate measurable client value.
  • Champion the adoption of Artificial Intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies to improve delivery efficiency, optimize operational costs, enhance decision-making, and accelerate business outcomes across client engagements and internal operations.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Executive Stakeholder Management

  • Partner closely with executives across VCA and Visa teams (Product, Technology, VAS, Risk, Client Services, Sales, Operations) to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Influence C-level client stakeholders and serve as a trusted advisor on strategic transformation initiatives.
  • Foster collaboration across regional and global teams to drive consistency, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Represent Visa in executive client meetings, industry forums, strategic workshops, and thought leadership initiatives.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in payments, financial services, consulting, technology, digital transformation, or related industries.
  • 8+ years of experience leading large organizations, including managers, individual contributors, contractors, and vendor resources.
  • Proven success leading large-scale, complex, cross-functional transformation programs with significant business impact.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large organizational budgets, contractor workforces, vendor relationships, and investment decisions in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies, with proven experience identifying and scaling opportunities to improve operational efficiency, delivery effectiveness, client value, and business performance.
  • Strong expertise across the payments ecosystem, including:
  • Issuing and acquiring
  • Credit and debit products
  • Authorization and transaction processing
  • Fraud prevention and risk management
  • Digital payments and tokenization
  • Customer lifecycle management
  • Payment operations and modernization
  • Payment technologies and emerging industry trends
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to manage large portfolios, budgets, and strategic investment decisions.
  • Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with experience engaging C-level audiences.
  • Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience leading distributed teams and operating in highly matrixed global organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across multiple business functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other relevant advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Advanced/Fluent English required
  • Advanced/Fluent Spanish required
