The Opportunity

As Senior Director & Team Lead Marketing & Communications, you will serve as the strategic communications and marketing partner to the Siemens Mobility Asia Pacific leadership team. You'll lead regional communications, product marketing, customer engagement, executive messaging, and major industry events while managing a high-performing team across the region.

You'll Make a Difference By

  • Serve as the senior marketing and communications business partner to Asia Pacific leadership across Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and other regional markets, shaping strategic narratives, executive messaging, customer value propositions and market positioning.
  • Provide direct marketing and communications leadership for the Singapore market, supporting customer engagement, key industry events and strategic initiatives, while driving communications activities for growth opportunities in emerging markets across Asia Pacific, including Vietnam's developing high-speed rail sector.
  • Lead the end-to-end planning, storytelling, orchestration, and execution of major rail industry trade shows, customer events, executive engagements, media activities, and employee events, ensuring excellence from concept development through delivery.
  • Act as the primary interface to Siemens Mobility Communications Headquarters, translating global product and portfolio messaging into compelling regional campaigns and communication strategies tailored to the needs of Asia Pacific rail customers.
  • Drive hands-on product marketing and tender communications, developing customer references, presentations, videos, digital and social media assets, product brochures, and press materials that directly support business acquisition and customer engagement.
  • Own communications for key rail projects and business milestones, including vehicle deliveries, launch campaigns, factory visits, media tours, and customer-facing communication initiatives, ensuring close stakeholder alignment and flawless execution.
  • Combine strategic communications expertise with strong editorial capabilities, creating newsletters, campaign content, and messaging frameworks while personally driving operational implementation.
  • Lead and develop a lean team of two communications professionals in Thailand and Australia while remaining a highly hands-on contributor who independently manages critical projects and strategic deliverables across the region.
  • Collaborate closely with Siemens Limited communications teams responsible for corporate brand, thought leadership, and reputation management, while retaining primary accountability for operational product marketing, business communications, customer engagement, and market-facing campaigns for Siemens Mobility in Asia Pacific.

What You'll Bring

  • Deep experience leading integrated marketing and communications functions within complex infrastructure, transportation, industrial, technology, or public-sector environments.
  • Ability to translate customer, market, regulatory, industry and business dynamics into compelling positioning, narratives, and marketing and communications strategies.
  • Credibility as a trusted senior advisor, with sound judgement, discretion, and resilience when managing sensitive reputational, commercial, and strategic issues.
  • Confidence leading high-profile stakeholder engagement, including customer events, executive forums, industry conferences, media activities, and government-facing engagements.
  • Strong people leadership capability, with experience building, developing, and motivating high-performing teams in regional and matrixed organisations.
  • Expertise delivering integrated, data-driven campaigns across owned, earned, digital, and customer-facing channels, supported by a commercial and customer-centric mindset.
  • Knowledge of emerging AI-enabled marketing and communications technologies, with the ability to identify, adopt, and leverage AI-driven solutions to enhance content creation, audience engagement, campaign effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience supporting business acquisition activities through product marketing, tender communications, customer engagement, and value proposition development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to simplify complex topics and influence diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinking combined with a highly hands-on approach to execution.
