
The Senior Director, Product Management leads NYPA’s Demand Flexibility & Product Development function, with a primary focus on advancing Demand Flexibility and Virtual Power Plant (VPP) solutions. In addition, this role provides oversight and strategic direction for developing a broad range of innovative energy services and opportunities across NYPA’s customer solutions portfolio, spanning energy efficiency, electrification, and decarbonization solutions such as solar, storage, electric vehicles, and related offerings.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of innovators launching new energy solutions and services at scale. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, brings experience in demand flexibility and VPPs, understands how VPPs interact with other customer energy solutions, and has proven go‑to‑market experience working directly with customers to address complex market and customer needs.
This is a hands‑on, customer‑ and business‑oriented role, leading a team that drives NYPA’s commercialization and go‑to‑market processes for new product opportunities—setting product vision and strategy, ensuring solutions are customer‑focused, aligned with other in‑market offerings, and positioned for sustained success. The Senior Director oversees and prioritizes products from inception and ideation through design, build, launch, growth, enhancement, and eventual sunset, including ongoing maintenance, evolution, or pivoting as needed. Throughout the product lifecycle, the Senior Director collaborates with subject matter experts and internal and external stakeholders to develop robust justifications, business cases, and implementation plans that guide product decisions and ensure NYPA’s portfolio delivers meaningful value to its customers. #LI-VB1

The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidates’ relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
