The Senior Director of Network Operations Services is a cross-functional senior leader responsible for the design, management, and continuous improvement of Mastery’s enrollment infrastructure and network service operations. This role ensures schools have the resources, systems, and support necessary to meet enrollment goals and deliver an excellent operational experience for students and families.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Senior Director directly manages the Directors of Enrollment and the Director of Food Services. The role provides leadership for network-wide service functions—including enrollment operations, food services, and vendor-supported programs—and partners closely with Finance, Facilities, Compliance, and the Senior Director of Network Operations to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery across all schools.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Essential Job Functions:
  • Enrollment Strategy and Implementation
  • Lead the development and implementation of the network-wide enrollment management plan.
  • Oversee recruitment, admissions, and retention efforts to meet student enrollment targets in both Philadelphia and Camden regions.
  • Partner with the Marketing/Communications team to develop effective student outreach and recruitment campaigns.
  • Use data analytics to monitor enrollment trends, student satisfaction, and the effectiveness of recruitment efforts.
  • Supervises team of Directors of Enrollment to ensure consistent, data-informed, and equity-driven practices across regions.
  • Strategic Leadership & Systems Design
  • Develop and execute an integrated network services and enrollment strategy aligned with network goals.
  • Design and refine scalable systems that streamline school operations, admissions, and student support.
  • Build operational infrastructure and project management systems that support school and network growth.
  • Ensure effective cross-departmental collaboration with Finance, Compliance, Facilities, and Communications.
  • Network Services Oversight
  • Directly manage the Director of Food Services to ensure effective oversight of food operations, compliance, and vendor performance.
  • Oversee additional network service functions such as centralized vendor programs and infrastructure coordination.
  • Partner with the Senior Director of Network Operations and school-based operations leaders to ensure systems, training, and tools support consistency and excellence in safety, budgeting, vendor
    management, and compliance.
  • Partner with the Facilities team to inform infrastructure planning, capital projects, and classroom design standards.
  • Monitor vendor contracts and performance to ensure fiscal responsibility and service excellence.
  • Program Development and Continuous Improvement
  • Design and implement operational and enrollment program frameworks that ensure scalability, equity, and excellence.
  • Develop performance dashboards and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of school operations and enrollment systems.
  • Manage change initiatives and ensure continuous improvement in operations and student experience.
    o Foster a culture of continuous improvement, problem-solving, and operational excellence across all schools

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8–10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in school operations, enrollment management, or related fields.
  • Proven success managing multi-site operations and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in systems design, project management, and strategic planning.
  • Strong analytical, coaching, and change management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Deep commitment to educational equity and Mastery’s mission

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to physically perform the essential duties of the role as outlined above, and to work in the environmental conditions required, such as traveling to network campuses, monitoring and interacting with students, in-person facilitation of trainings, etc.;
  • This role requires frequent travel between multiple locations. Reliable transportation is essential to fulfill job responsibilities.

Salary and Bonus Information:

  • External candidates hired for this role are eligible for a $5,000 signing bonus as well as up to $5,000 for relocation expenses!

  • The Senior Director of Network Operations Services at Mastery can expect a starting salary between $130,000 to $140,300, based on education and experience, with opportunities for growth as your career progresses. Each offer is made in alignment with Mastery’s compensation philosophy and commitment to pay equity, ensuring fairness and consistency across our team.
