Department Description:

Tommy Hilfiger Menswear is a fashion-forward lifestyle collection within the Tommy Hilfiger family, focusing on premium men's apparel. The designs are inspired by American classics, finished with a modern edge and fresh spirit.

and Responsibilities:

  • TheSenior Merchandising& Product DevelopmentDirectorwill report intoand partner withthe SVP of Merchandising

  • Hold a strategic leadership role within theMSWteam, with specific Merchandisingand Product

  • DevelopmentownershipwithinMSWApparelof theNew York Label-DressedCasualinclTailoring-Classification &FurnishingsandthePerformanceLine

  • Partner withDesign, Planning and Techin delivering brand-right, consumer-centric seasonal assortments.

  • Develop and align the short and long-termMSWApparel growth strategies withheoverall TH BrandMSWLifestyle vision

  • Research & Development: Unlock growth opportunities through new materials, techniques, and vendor partnerships.

  • Product Development: Improve quality and workflows while connecting Design, Merchandising, Supply, andTechnicalteams.

  • Quality Standards: Review collections, challenge standards, andleadimprovements in materials, construction, and fit.

  • KPI Management: Drive strategies for margin, sustainability, material efficiency, and reduced overdevelopment.

  • Sourcing:Guideseasonal allocations and align sourcing strategies with brand needs.

  • Partner closely with Footwear and Accessories counterparts in ensuring a synergistic ‘consumer centric’ approach to product when producing seasonal collections

  • Partner with the Consumer Insights teams in analyzing updated Apparel data points to further enhance and continuously modernize theMSWAspirational Consumer Profile

  • Partner with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners in building commercially strong collections, while ensuring margin targets, price point architecture, Hero styles, volume drivers, etc., are all successfully executed

  • Lead the facilitation and development ofoptimalrelationships betweenGlobal & RegionalMerchandising, Design, Product Development, Tech and Planningboth in and out of key seasonal milestone meetings

  • Partner with (and drive) theRegional and DTCteams in deliveringoptimal‘consumer centric’ assortments that meetthe strategic needs, financial targets, and accelerate theRegionalstrategies andO&O businesses

  • Lead and drive all key milestone meetings (Range Plan Hand-Off (to Triad), Digital Collection Review, Omnichannel Validation Meeting, etc.) and present / discuss the collection, review Product Stories, and provide product feedback to cover Market needs

  • Participate in cross-divisional projects related to strategic impact and provide inputs for key presentations

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of8+ junior to senior level Merchants

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in a Global, Senior Merchandising Product Developmentrole with credible menswear experience

  • Omni-channel experience but with a strong focus on wholesale

  • Experience with tailored menswear products is essential

  • Experience with menswear premium sporting apparel products is highly desirable

  • Visionary; proven ability to strategically lead a large-scale business towards continuous growth while, at times, navigating through unchartered territory

  • Strong discernment to quicklyidentifynew business opportunities; ability to convert into clear, actionable business strategy

  • Strategic risk-taker

  • Analytical mind-set; in-depthproficiencyof all Financials and KPI levers associated with leading a high-volume business

  • Proven history in developing assortment frameworks and building annual/seasonal Range Plan architectures from the ground-up

  • An effective communicator whopossessesa deep understanding of consumer preferences across key markets, emphasizes accountability in decisions, promotescontinuous improvement and motivation via proven strong leadership,possesseshigh energy/urgency, and creative problem solving.

  • Understanding of multiple Markets, regions, cultural and consumerdifferencesand the requirements to deliver against financial results and customer-centric KPIs.

  • Strong networker; proven history in forming effective working relationships with all key cross-functional departments (Merchandising, Design, Production, and Markets/Country Partners)

  • Previousexperience leading and managing a large team withdemonstratedability to coach and develop future leaders

  • Understanding of the end-to-end seasonal process and experience with managing (and providing input) into the annual/seasonal corporate calendar and associated work-stream

  • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and diverse environment

  • Knowledge and skills in working with Corporate Systems (i.e.PLM, Consumer Insights) and in MS Office software (Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Verbal and Written Proficiency in English isrequired
