Senior Director of Institutional Giving Highly Regarded Social Services Nonprofit
New York City - Hybrid Salary Range: $81,000 to $107,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience
Terrific Senior Director of Institutional Giving (SRD) position with a highly regarded social services nonprofit in NYC. The organization provides programs and services to survivors of domestic violence, those experiencing homelessness, and others impacted by poverty and trauma.   Currently, the majority of their $100 million in annual funding is derived from government contracts. This new position will be integral in accelerating their private funding, primarily through institutional giving. The role will operate on a hybrid schedule.   Responsibilities:
  • Provide moves management to a portfolio of foundation and corporate funders and prospects
  • Collaborate with development leadership to create and implement effective fundraising strategies
  • Identify and secure funding opportunities
  • Develop strategies for corporate giving
  • Oversee systems that ensure proposal and report submissions are accurate and timely
  • Manage a team of contract grant writers and two direct reports
Qualifications:
  • Approximately 5-7+ years of institutional fundraising experience with corporations and foundations
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Demonstrated track record of securing 6+ figure grants
  • Connection to the organization's mission
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Ability to build strong relationships with funders and collaborate across the organization
