
The Senior Director of Enterprise Device Operations is responsible for the execution, governance, and operational excellence of enterprise wide device management. This leader oversees the deployment, assignment, lifecycle management, and operational processes for all corporate devices across the environment. While they do not own the ServiceNow or Armis platforms, they influence and partner closely with the platform owners to ensure the tools support device operations, asset accuracy, risk visibility, and compliance. The role ensures that device operations are efficient, secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise technology and security standards.
Enterprise Device Operations Leadership
Lead enterprise-wide device deployment, provisioning, assignment, lifecycle management, and decommissioning processes.
Ensure all device operations adhere to established security, compliance, and asset management standards.
Drive maturity improvements across device tracking, operational readiness, compliance posture, and fleet health.
Influence Across ServiceNow and Armis Teams
Collaborate with and influence the owners of ServiceNow and Armis to ensure these platforms meet operational requirements.
Provide guidance on CMDB structure, asset taxonomy, workflows, integrations, and reporting needed to support device operations.
Ensure Armis risk and inventory insights are actionable and integrated into operational processes.
Asset Deployment & Lifecycle Accountability
Own the processes for assigning, maintaining, upgrading, and retiring assets across the organization.
Ensure accurate asset data and traceability through close partnership with the ServiceNow asset and CMDB teams.
Lead initiatives to improve the speed, predictability, and quality of device deployment and refresh programs.
Operational Excellence & Reporting
Define KPIs and operational dashboards across asset lifecycle management, device compliance, fleet health, and inventory accuracy.
Drive automation and simplification of device operational workflows to reduce manual effort and improve quality.
Ensure end-to-end processes for device break/fix, replacement, and stockroom management operate efficiently.
Cross Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, End-User Computing, IT Operations, Procurement, and Finance teams.
Provide enterprise leadership on device posture, asset control, risk visibility, and operational readiness.
Serve as the primary voice of device operations in governance forums, planning cycles, and audit activities.
Risk, Compliance & Audit
Ensure device operations comply with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and security standards.
Partner with cybersecurity to rapidly address vulnerabilities and device-related risk.
Support audit activities related to asset tracking, device hygiene, and lifecycle documentation.
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
10+ years of experience in device operations, asset management, endpoint management, or IT operations.
5+ years leading teams or programs at a Director level or equivalent.
Strong understanding of enterprise device ecosystems (endpoints, servers, IoT/OT devices, network devices).
Experience partnering with platform owners for ServiceNow (CMDB, Asset, ITOM) and Armis or similar asset intelligence tools.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority.
Proven track record improving operational processes, automation, and data quality.
Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
