Senior Director of Business Operations-OB/GYN functions as a senior business operations leader for all markets for OB/GYN services across Sentara Medical Group Directs and oversees the efficient and effective operations of practice locations across multiple markets. Supervises Directors.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall business operations of all assigned practices, as well as activities that relate to the future growth and business strategy for OB/GYN services.
  • Aligns operational strategy with health plan and system needs, while ensuring the highest standards of healthcare delivery, outcomes and constant patient focus
  • Develop operational support strategies to address productivity, operational performance, staff retention and patient satisfaction
  • Ensures appropriate prioritization and resource management to fulfill strategic objectives specific to specialty and market needs
  • Exhibit strong communication, presentation and listening skills to ensure region-wide collaboration and coordination, especially as concerns physicians, employees, and the community
  • Ensure positive employee relations and trust through communication, education, consistency, and dependability
  • Establish trust and emerge as a leader in key initiatives and strategies to continually improve the quality and level of services provided
  • Evaluate impact of practices on quality, experience, and total cost of care.


Education/Experience:

  • Master’s Level or Doctorate Degree required in Healthcare related field
  • Managing business operations 5+ years to support healthcare delivery services
  • Financial planning and management, talent management
  • Hiring, developing, and managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver measurable results among patients
  • Collaborating with Acute, Health Plan and Ambulatory leaders to optimize and grow medical practice footprint ensure appropriate communication
  • Understanding of IT solutions to support appropriate workflows and referrals to services
