As an experienced business development professional, you will bring yourrobust business acumen,intuitivesellingand closingskills and honed business expansion experience to ICF. In this role, you will driveand deliverrobust growththroughout ICF's national security portfolioYou willbe responsible forthe full lifecycle of business development activities toincludebuilding, qualifying, and managinga robust pipeline,and confidentlyshapingand winninglarge single award opportunities, working collaboratively withlines of business,captureand proposal teams.
The Senior Director, National Security Account Lead role is focused onnew sales, andbuilding direct federal customer relationships within the federal marketplace toposition ICF as a trustedadvisor andensure sustained YoY growth and market expansion Knowledge and experience in marketing capabilities in the areas of application development and digital modernization isrequired, and knowledge ofopen source andlow-code/no-code platforms such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, and Appianand AI-enabled solutionsis a significant plus.
This position is based in the Washington, DC area and follows a hybrid work model, targeting a minimum of two days per week in ICF’s HQ Reston, VA office.
Responsibilities:
Identifies,shapes, and winsunrestricted,primedigital modernizationopportunitiesto enable the National Security portfolio YoY growth and footprint expansionwithin the agencies
Develops, builds,and ownsa 3-year strategic growth planandeffectivelyowns and managesanactive24-monthpipeline
Strengthens,expandsand nurturescustomer relationshipsto gaintrusted advisor status anddeliverssustainedgrowth.
Identifies, develops, and implements near-term and long-termwinstrategies thatprovidethe business an opportunity to grow revenue.
Nurtures & sustains partner relationships that align with market growth and business developmentobjectives
Represent ICFin conferences and industry events including external speaking engagements and meetings with clients.
Develops and supports strategic partnerships with governmentandindustry leaders, driving innovation, and new business opportunities.
Interacts regularly with senior management/executives from multiple areas within the company to include briefings and presentations on sales initiatives and outcomes.
Partners withlines of businessto support overall strategic planning and linking pursuits/capture activities that support the business development metrics for awardssubmits, and pipeline growth in IT modernization.
What you must have:
Bachelor’s Degreein businessor IT related fields
10+ years ofdemonstratedexperiencesellingITwork within the federal market
10+ years of building and executing client call plans, shaping requirements, and leading business development strategies in a collaborative team environment.
8+ years selling application development anddigitalmodernization solutionsin the federal market.
8+ years of demonstrated and verifiablecontract awardsvalued over $50M,in addition to IDIQ vehicles
8+ yearsestablishingrelationships with federal clients and solution partners acrossthe Department of Homeland Security,including but not limited to USCIS, CPB, ICE, and Coast Guard.
2+ years selling modern AI-enabled solutions to the federalmarket place
Demonstrated experience working with program teams toidentifycapabilities and potential opportunities inadjacent and alike markets.
Exemplary presentation and communication skills, including authoring white papers, and responding to RFI’s and other presentation materials.
Demonstratedsuccess in developing and presenting complex ideas to executive audiences and effectively articulating customer positions, status, and strategies to senior management in a clear, concise, and decisive manner.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is
$173,945.00 - $295,706.00Reston, VA (VA30)
