General
The Senior Director, Infrastructure and Cloud Architecture is responsible for defining, leading, and governing the enterprise infrastructure architecture strategy across cloud, network, data center, end-user computing, collaboration, identity, and platform services. This role partners closely with cybersecurity, enterprise applications, business technology, digital, data, and regional IT teams to ensure infrastructure capabilities are scalable, secure, reliable, cost-effective, and aligned with business priorities.
As a senior technology leader, this role establishes architectural standards, reference designs, roadmaps, and governance processes to support global growth, operational excellence, resilience, and innovation. The Senior Director provides leadership to architecture and engineering teams, influences technology investment decisions, and ensures infrastructure solutions meet enterprise requirements for performance, compliance, security, automation, and service continuity.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Enterprise Infrastructure Strategy & Architecture
• Define and maintain the global infrastructure architecture strategy, roadmap, standards, and reference architectures.
• Lead architectural planning across cloud platforms, network, compute, storage, data center, identity, endpoint, collaboration, and infrastructure services.
• Ensure infrastructure architecture supports business growth, global scalability, regulatory requirements, operational resilience, and cybersecurity standards.
• Partner with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, application, data, and business technology teams to align infrastructure capabilities with enterprise technology strategy.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies that improve agility, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
Cloud, Platform & Modernization Leadership
• Drive modernization of infrastructure platforms through cloud adoption, automation, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and service standardization.
• Establish architectural patterns for hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including workload placement, connectivity, security, availability, and governance.
• Support transformation from legacy infrastructure models to scalable, automated, and product-oriented technology services.
• Ensure technology solutions are designed for high availability, disaster recovery, performance, compliance, and operational supportability.
Governance, Standards & Risk Management
• Establish and govern infrastructure design principles, technology standards, lifecycle management practices, and architecture review processes.
• Ensure infrastructure solutions comply with applicable company policies, security requirements, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices.
• Identify technology risks, technical debt, capacity constraints, and architectural gaps; develop mitigation and remediation plans.
• Partner with cybersecurity and compliance teams to embed security-by-design and resilience-by-design into infrastructure solutions.
Delivery Partnership & Operational Excellence
• Collaborate with infrastructure operations, service management, cybersecurity, procurement, finance, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise technology capabilities.
• Provide architectural oversight for major infrastructure programs, mergers/acquisitions integrations, site expansions, cloud migrations, and global technology initiatives.
• Support vendor evaluation, solution selection, contract input, and strategic partner management for infrastructure technologies and managed services.
• Promote standardization, automation, monitoring, and operational excellence across infrastructure services.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Visio, and enterprise architecture or diagramming tools. Strong familiarity with IT service management, cloud management, monitoring, automation, collaboration, and portfolio management platforms.
EducationRequired:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
Other Qualifications:
Travel: Be adaptable to business trips as required per business need; require valid driver’s license in applicable countries
Salary Range Poland: 420,000.00 PLN - 525,000.00 PLN
