The IA platform is business-critical and growing. The leader will partner closely with Agency and Product leaders while coordinating delivery across teams with different reporting lines.

What You Will Do

  • Improve delivery quality and reduce defects, rework, and operational risk.
  • Partner with Business and Product leaders on technology plans and delivery commitments.
  • Set technical direction and drive delivery across IA and partner teams.
  • Build and lead a high-performing engineering organization through hiring, coaching, and clear accountability.
  • Establish efficient delivery processes with clear accountability for progress, risks, and dependencies.
  • Serve as the primary technology partner for IA in cross-functional planning.
  • Resolve performance, scalability, reliability, and quality challenges through durable engineering improvements.
  • Identify and apply AI tools to improve engineering productivity, platform reliability, and agent experience.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience leading engineering organizations and technical delivery.
  • Experience leading managers and senior technical individual contributors in a complex engineering environment.
  • Strong hands-on technical depth in designing, modernizing, and operating enterprise application platforms and distributed systems.
  • Track record of improving the performance, reliability, and delivery predictability of business-critical systems.
  • Experience leading architecture and integration work across multiple products, teams, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to make clear technical tradeoffs and communicate them to engineering and business leaders.
  • Experience working in a large enterprise B2B or application-platform environment.
  • Experience leading and developing engineering managers and senior technical talent in a complex organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with comparative rating, quoting, policy, carrier, or partner-integration platforms.
  • Experience modernizing legacy platforms while maintaining delivery commitments and production stability.
  • A mix of large-company and startup or high-growth operating experience.
  • Background at an enterprise software company such as Workday, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Oracle, or a similar application-platform business.
  • Familiarity with modern AI technologies and developer tools, with judgment to apply them where they improve engineering productivity, platform reliability, or customer and agent experiences.
