Job Description

The Senior Director, HR, EMEA serves as the key strategic business partner to the SVP, Dematic EMEA and is a critical member of the Dematic HR Leadership Team. This executive partners closely with senior leaders across the region to develop and execute the people, culture, and organizational strategies needed to advance Dematic’s growth, market leadership, and customer value delivery. The role leads a team of five direct‑report HR Business Partners and a broader HR organization of ~30 professionals supporting ~3,600 employees across EMEA.

This leader collaborates deeply with global HR COEs to drive enterprise‑aligned talent, culture, and organizational solutions. Success is measured through succession readiness, high‑potential retention, employee engagement, internal mobility, diversity in leadership, organizational simplification, and reduction of voluntary turnover.

Tasks and Qualifications:

This is what you will do in this role:

  • Strategic Business Partnership Serve as the primary HR advisor to the SVP, Dematic EMEA and senior regional leadership, shaping organizational, talent, and workforce strategies aligned to the business strategy.
  • Organizational Design and Simplification Lead efforts that optimize structure, scalability, efficiency, and overall organizational health across EMEA to support operational performance and strategic growth.
  • Culture and Change Leadership Drive a strong leadership culture aligned with Dematic’s values; lead complex change initiatives that strengthen engagement, accountability, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Succession Planning and Leadership Pipeline Build robust talent pipelines through disciplined succession planning, leadership assessment, and targeted development actions for critical roles.
  • Talent Retention, Engagement, and Employee Movement Enable data‑driven strategies to retain high‑potential talent, improve employee engagement, and increase internal mobility across the region and enterprise.
  • Workforce Planning and Strategic Capability Building Partner with business leaders to anticipate capability needs, shape future‑ready skills, and align workforce plans with growth priorities in engineering and technology‑driven environments.
  • Diversity in Leadership Drive actions that strengthen diversity in leadership roles and ensure equitable development and advancement opportunities across EMEA.
  • Leadership of HRBP Team and HR Operational Excellence Lead and develop the EMEA HRBP team; ensure consistent HR processes, governance, compliance, and operational excellence while focusing on strategic impact and delivery.

What we are looking for:

  • 12+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including significant experience in engineering and/or technology‑driven organizations
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategy into people and organizational actions
  • Executive influence, presence, and credibility with senior leaders
  • Strategic agility and systems thinking applied to complex, matrixed environments
  • Expert capability in org design, change leadership, and cultural transformation
  • Data‑driven decision making and talent analytics capability
  • Leadership coaching, talent development, and team-building expertise
  • Ability to navigate global–regional–local dynamics with collaboration and alignment
  • High judgment, discretion, and ability to manage sensitive organizational dynamics
