Senior Director, Global Head of Transfer Agency Transaction Processing, US Head of Transformation and India Head of Investor Solutions
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to serve as Senior Director, Operations Group Manager This role is based out of Pune with accountability across three interconnected areas of the business:
- Global Head of Transfer Agency Transaction Processing
- US Head of Transformation
- India Head of Investor Solutions
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Provide enterprise-level leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight across global transaction processing activities, transformation initiatives for the US business, and investor solutions operations in India.
- Operate across geographies, influence senior stakeholders, drive change at scale, and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, control, client experience, and organizational performance.
- This role is aligned to BNY’s broader objectives of driving operational excellence, enabling growth through transformation, strengthening governance and resilience, and building a scalable global operating model.
Global Leadership: Transfer Agency Transaction Processing
- Lead the end-to-end service delivery and strategic execution of Transfer Agency transaction processing operations, including account maintenance, financial and transfer transactions, rollover processing, correspondence, quality control, and related support functions.
- Accountable for operational excellence, risk and control management, client service, and transformation initiatives including automation and digital process optimization.
- Requires deep Transfer Agency operations expertise, strong people leadership, and proven experience driving large-scale process improvement in a regulated environment.
- Drive scale, quality, and control across a high-volume operation, ensuring strong client outcomes and disciplined service delivery.
- Deliver business and client impact by enhancing client service, improving productivity and accuracy, supporting growth, and building high-performing teams through strong leadership and succession planning.
US Leadership: Transformation
- Own and lead transformation initiatives for the US business, with a focus on operational efficiency, process redesign, automation, digitization, and scalable delivery models.
- Develop and execute strategic transformation roadmaps that align with business priorities and long-term organizational objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce risk, optimize costs, and enhance client and colleague experience.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to secure buy-in, manage dependencies, and deliver change initiatives on time and within scope.
- Track transformation outcomes using defined metrics, ensuring benefits realization and sustained adoption.
India Leadership: Investor Solutions
- Lead the India Investor Solutions organization, ensuring strong service delivery, operational resilience, and effective team management.
- Support business growth by building a high-performing, client-focused, and agile operating environment.
- Oversee workforce planning, capability development, and succession planning for the India-based team.
- Ensure alignment between India delivery capabilities and global business needs.
People Leadership and Organizational Impact
- Inspire, develop, and retain a diverse team of leaders and professionals across multiple functions and geographies.
- Champion a culture of ownership, transparency, and execution excellence.
- Ensure robust governance across all areas of responsibility, with strong adherence to policy, regulatory expectations, and internal control frameworks.
- Build trusted relationships with senior internal stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional partners.
- Represent the business in strategic forums and engage effectively with global leadership.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Significant senior leadership experience in transaction processing, operations and transformation within financial services environment.
- Proven ability to lead large, complex, multi-location teams in a global matrixed organization.
- Deep understanding of financial services operations, risk management, controls, and client service delivery.
- Experience collaborating across regions, including the US and India, with the ability to navigate different stakeholder expectations and operating models.
- Strong executive presence, communication skills, and ability to influence at senior levels.
- A strategic mindset combined with the ability to drive execution and follow-through.
- Demonstrated capability to build high-performing teams and lead through change.
- Strong knowledge of process improvement, operating model design, automation, and change management.
- Ability to balance strategic priorities with tactical execution.
