Location

This role will be based in either Wayzata, Minnesota (preferred) or in Atlanta, Georgia.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Director, CargillNow Experience (Cargill’s name for its global ServiceNow platform) leads the enterprise strategy, governance, experience, roadmap, and value realization of CargillNow as a global, multi-function employee experience and service delivery platform.

This role is accountable for enterprise value realization through increased adoption, workflow efficiency, automation, self-service utilization, employee experience outcomes, and service delivery effectiveness. It is also responsible for advancing CargillNow to a scalable, integrated enterprise capability across HR, Digital Technology & Data, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and other enabling functions. The Senior Director works across the entire organization to partner with senior leaders, functional product owners and product pods, capability owners, technical platform owners, vendors, and user groups to prioritize demand, standardize governance, improve the employee and manager experience, enable automation, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

The role also leads a growing CargillNow team, currently consisting of three team members, with the opportunity to expand capabilities and organizational capacity over time. The Senior Director is responsible for building a high-performing team, establishing clear priorities and accountabilities, developing talent, and fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and enterprise impact.

The role facilitates the CargillNow Steering Committee, aligns cross-functional priorities, enterprise workflow automation/AI, ensures product portfolio cohesion, Governance, roadmap, standards, demand management and drives consistency across platform strategy, employee experience standards, service performance, communications, knowledge, change management, and value measurement. This role also is responsible for driving a common taxonomy, visuals, reporting, timing and authority by topic area all while driving for continuous improvement and operating model maturity.

Key Accountabilities

Enterprise Strategy & Roadmap

  • Defines and advances the enterprise vision, strategy, governance, and roadmap for CargillNow as a business-critical employee experience and service delivery capability. Aligns to business priorities and employee experience goals while driving simplification, standardization, and automation.
  • Creates an integrated employee experience within the CargillNow platform, with a focus on a frictionless experience, alignment to agreed SLAs, and defined metrics
  • Structured and governed demand intake, prioritization approach, and governance to enable standardization and visibility across all functional and platform priorities
  • Leads comprehensive and holistic communication, training, knowledge, and change management standards, delivered by functional and platform teams
  • Data driven and use of insights and metrics to inform strategic enhancements (e.g., mobile functionality, search functionality, clicks, banners)

Enterprise Influence & Alignment

  • Leads through influence across a highly matrixed environment with multiple functions, product teams, capability owners, and technology partners.
  • Aligns competing priorities and drives enterprise decisions where ownership and accountability span multiple organizations.
  • Establishes trusted executive relationships to enable enterprise-wide adoption and execution

Governance & Prioritization

  • Leads the demand intake and governance model, facilitates governance forums, aligns cross-functional priorities, and resolves tradeoffs.

Leadership Advisory

  • Advises and facilitates executive stakeholder reviews, governance forums, and performance management processes (e.g., QPR cycle, cost management). Aligns dependencies across product teams and capability owners.
  • Advises senior leaders and drives executive alignment
  • Translates complexity into actionable decisions

Platform Oversight

  • Oversees platform standards, SLAs, and metrics. Partners with functional product teams to identify root causes, escalate issues, and drive solutions to improve the overall experience.
  • Drives strategic case deflection and utilization of AI enabled tools

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Drives strategic vendor relationship and licensing strategy

Platform Performance & Standards

  • Sets SLAs, metrics, and performance expectations
  • Ensures scalability, sustainability, and consistency

Backlog & Delivery Oversight

  • Oversees the enterprise backlog and cross-functional journeys
  • Ensures alignment across product teams and delivery timelines

Employee Experience & Adoption

  • Defines experience standards and usability expectations
  • Drives adoption through insights, metrics, and change management
  • Owns self-service strategy, knowledge management, and case deflection

Process Development & Sustainability

  • Owns, develops, and sustains processes across related products to ensure an effective, efficient, and competitive platform that enables both short- and long-term business performance objectives.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum requirement of 8 years of relevant work experience in enterprise platforms or transformation.
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide ServiceNow or similar platform transformations across multiple functions like HR, Finance, Procurement, Technology, and Shared Services functions.
  • Experience operating within complex global matrix organizations.
  • Demonstrated success establishing governance, operating models, and product management disciplines.
  • Experience leading large-scale digital transformation and workflow automation initiatives.
  • Proven experience leading teams and delivering outcomes through others.
  • Experience influencing executive-level stakeholders and governing bodies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12+ years of relevant experience

Additional Information

The expected salary for this position is $240,000 - $280,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance. At Cargill we put people first.
