
As the Senior Director of Finance Technology, you will serve as the strategic partner between Finance, Procurement and T&D. You will spearhead the end-to-end tech design & implementation of the Greater China finance & enterprise procurement transformation in close partnership with other discipline partners. You will act as the key liaison to the global Finance and Procurement technology team, ensuring that local technical architecture aligns seamlessly with global standards.
The Senior Director of Finance Technology is responsible for:
· Strategic Leadership & Vision
· Define the continent Finance & Enterprise Procurement technology strategy and roadmap (multi-year), tied to business priorities and measurable outcome
· Set the target architecture (applications, integrations, data) and principles (standardization vs. localization).
· Establish governance: demand intake, prioritization, portfolio planning, and value realization.
· Stay abreast of the latest and emerging technologies, including AI/ML, agentic services, automation, and assess their applicability for the hotel landscape in the relevant domains
· Delivery, Deployment and Operation
· Lead the major transformation program in the Finance & Enterprise Procurement domain as the tech lead in partnering with discipline stakeholders. Key programs will include but not limit t
· Finance Shared Service Middle Platform Deployment
· Enterprise Procurement
· Own major programs end-to-end: business case, vendor selection, design, build, testing, cutover, hyper-care and BAU support , as well as the lifecycle management
· Drive process re-engineering and re-design with respective discipline partners leveraging the tech expertise and AI enabled technology
· Be the key liaison with Global Technology Corporate System and EA teams to drive the architectural alignment , global system integration in the adjacent domains
· Leadership and Collaboration
· Act as the strategic partner to Finance , Enterprise Procurement .Translate business needs into actionable tech outcomes.
· Build and lead a high-performing team (product owners, architects, analysts, delivery leads). Develop talent, set goals, establish ways of working, and foster cross-functional collaboration.
· Manage key vendors : performance, contracts, commercials, delivery quality
· Own the respective technology budget for build & run: project funding, run costs, vendor spend, benefits tracking
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Working Experience
· 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise technology delivery and/or product ownership, with significant focus on Finance and Enterprise Procurement technology in a large, complex organization.
· Proven leadership of large-scale transformation programs (multi-workstream) across Finance and Enterprise Procurement, including planning, governance, and delivery.
· Strong functional understanding of Finance processes (Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Treasury, Tax) , Enterprise Procurement processes and practices and ability to translate business requirements into scalable solution designs.
· Hands-on experience with core Finance and Enterprise Procurement platforms and ecosystems, including integration patterns and data management.
· Demonstrated ability to engage and influence executive stakeholders; excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to drive decisions in steering committees.
· Strong program and change leadership skills, including process re-engineering, operating model design, training, and adoption planning.
· Solid understanding of controls, risk, and compliance for Finance/Enterprise Procurement systems (e.g., SOX/internal controls, segregation of duties, audit readiness, privacy/PII).
· Strong vendor and partner management experience (SIs, SaaS providers), including RFP/selection, contract management, delivery governance, and performance management.
· Proven ability to operate in a matrixed, global environment—aligning local requirements with global standards, architecture, and platform roadmaps.
· Strong people leadership experience, including building and developing teams across product, delivery, architecture, and operations; ability to lead through ambiguity and change.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable using data to prioritize a portfolio, measure benefits, and drive continuous improvement.
· Fluent in English and Mandarin; able to document and communicate architecture, process, and program status clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.
· Demonstrated ability to balance speed and controls, manage competing priorities, and deliver outcomes in a fast-changing environment with high stakeholder expectations.
Education
· Bachelor’s degree required (Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related)
· Master’s degree (MBA/MS) and relevant certifications (e.g., PMP/Prince2, ITIL, SAP/Oracle/Workday certifications) are preferred.
