Alexion isseekinga highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as the Senior Director, Field Reimbursement. In this role, you will lead a team of Field Reimbursement Directors and Managers focused on supporting Healthcare Provider offices inoptimizingpatient access to Alexion products. This leader will shape reimbursement strategy, elevate field execution, and partner cross-functionally to remove access barriers, improve provider experience, and deliver measurable business and patient impact. Reporting to the Vice President, Patient Services & Strategy, this role is a high-profile position with the opportunity to make a major impact on patient lives and at Alexion.
You willbe responsible for
Seta clear visionfor transformation and successfully lead the FRM team through change by translating strategy into field reality.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert in the design requirements, operations, management, and delivery of Field Reimbursement Manager teams for the respective Therapeutic Area.
Key partner with brand and business unit leadership to align on FRM account prioritization
Develop a go-to market strategy for FRM service offerings while also driving alignment across multiple stakeholders to ensure flawless execution.
Liaise with Patient Services Access team and Market Access Marketing teams to support office education on access programs and marketing materials.
Monitor the marketplace for buy and bill and specialty pharmacy market access issuesimpactingpatient and provider access, threats & opportunities and adjust strategy in response to changes.
Provide ongoing direction,oversightand management to the FRM team, including budgets, whilemonitoringon a regular basis to ensure activities arein accordance withcorporate compliance policy/guidelines.
Strong understanding of CRM systems and processes to improve operational effectiveness of the FRMs
Drive implementation of innovative technology solutions relevant to the market, including potential AI opportunities that will help elevate operational efficiencies and overall effectiveness.
You will need to have:
Bachelor’s Degree (MBA or other related graduate-level degree is preferred)
Minimum of 10 plus years of total business experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical/biotech industry
Minimum of 8 or more years' sales, managed care or field reimbursement experience isrequired
Agility to pivot, a learning mindset, accountability for results, and a bias toward proactivelyidentifyingproblems and associated solutions
Proven experience creating and managing compliant field-based reimbursement and access teams, including key account targets, size, structure, strategy, programs/initiatives, compliance requirements (PHI), KPIs, analytics, integration with patient support services.
Prior experience leading and managing FRM teams and developing strategies to supportappropriate coverageand payment across multiple places of service,reimbursementand distribution models.
Proven experience working across multiple stakeholders including Field Sales, MarketAccessand Marketing to ensure strategic and compliant alignment.
Superb knowledge of government and commercial payers for specialty products (rare disease) across buy & bill and specialty pharmacy pathways, prior authorization and appeal requirements, coding,appropriate claimsubmission, and integration with patientassistanceprograms
Deep understanding of manufacturer compliance requirements for delivery of field reimbursement support services.
Understandsroleof key staff members at providers' office and payers across drug approval, acquisition, payment,deliveryand activities as they relate to FRM interactions.
Experience creating capabilities,strategiesand tools for FRM teams to support providers in navigating the complexities of the US Healthcare System.
Experienced in building strategic patient access and field reimbursement account plans, market access, and adapting to client business plans andobjectives
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
