Reporting to the Vice President of Technical Operations, you will lead the end-to-end digital strategy that powers how we manufacture, assure quality, plan supply, and connect with customers—accelerating reliable delivery of new modalities to people who need them most. This is a high-impact, enterprise role at the intersection of strategy, technology, and operations. You will shape the Industry 4.0 vision, build an integrated investment roadmap, and orchestrate execution across manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and IT/OT. Your work will enable real-time visibility and decisioning, predictive planning, customer connectivity, and above-site capabilities—creating a durable competitive advantage and a step-change in patient and customer experience. How will you turn a bold vision into scalable digital capabilities that endure? Accountabilities: Digital North Star: Define a hard-working, end-to-end digital strategy aligned to business goals, with a clear value case and narrative that inspires broad followership. Portfolio and Roadmap: Build and maintain an integrated, sequenced portfolio of digital investments that creates competitive advantage, balancing speed, risk, capacity, and value realization. Metrics that Matter: Establish success factors and critical metrics; maintain a transparent scorecard and outcomes narrative; report quarterly progress to senior leadership and governance forums. Cross-Functional Orchestration: Serve as strategic lead for Connected Factory and Supply Chain initiatives; align Manufacturing, Quality, Sites, and IT/OT on end-to-end connectivity and value. Operating Model Design: Define and evolve the operating model, funding approach, and resource strategy (including MTP/LTP planning) to scale digital and data capabilities across Technical Operations. Change Leadership: Sponsor change networks, training strategies, communications, and benefits realization to drive adoption and sustain new ways of working. Innovation Ecosystem: Build strong partnerships across sites, enterprise teams, technology vendors, and industry groups to bring outside-in insights and accelerate innovation. Data, IT/OT and Advanced Analytics: Identify and close gaps in data, systems, and infrastructure; influence investments for autonomous manufacturing, connected factory, and supply chain analytics and advanced technical analytics. Story Amplification: Communicate achievements, lessons, and ambitions across the network to build momentum and reinforce a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. External Representation: Represent the organization on enterprise programs and relevant national councils; collaborate with industry bodies (e.g., BioPhorum, ISPE) to benchmark and adopt standard methodologies. Funding and Partnerships: Partner with government agencies and other bodies to secure digital grants and ensure compliant, timely milestone delivery. Operations Data Strategy and Governance: Ensure consistent data governance, integrity, and accessibility across the enterprise; maintain the roadmap of data products to support AI ambitions.
