The Job:

The Senior Director, Global Supply Chain Compensation will serve as the strategic leader for all compensation-related matters supporting Stanley Black & Decker’s global supply chain organization. This position reports directly to the Vice President, Global Broad-Based Compensation and is a key member of the Compensation Center of Expertise, working as a remote employee. You’ll get to:

  • Responsible for the design, administration, and delivery of compensation policies and programs that ensure competitive positioning and support the attraction, retention, and motivation of top supply chain talent.
  • As a subject matter expert and thought leader, the Senior Director will drive the development and execution of compensation strategies aligned with the company’s global supply chain objectives.
  • Lead the strategic design and administration of compensation programs for the supply chain organization (inclusive of hourly and salaried roles globally), including wage scales, job grading, job evaluations, market pricing, and the annual compensation planning process.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and advisor on supply chain compensation matters, ensuring alignment with Stanley Black & Decker’s compensation philosophy and global business objectives.
  • Partner with regional HR leaders, regional Total Rewards Partners, supply chain executives, and external consultants to develop and implement compensation solutions that address market competitiveness, internal equity, and regulatory compliance worldwide.
  • Oversee the execution, education, communication, and administration of enterprise-wide compensation programs within the supply chain function.
  • Monitor and analyze compensation performance against business plans, proactively addressing gaps and recommending actions to achieve organizational goals.
  • Lead global compensation benchmarking initiatives and participate in international compensation surveys to ensure access to relevant market data for supply chain roles.
  • Ensure compensation data integrity within HR systems, supporting business needs and global reporting requirements.
  • Provide analytical leadership in developing economic and cost impact models for merit budgets, incentive guidelines, job family structures, and pay bands for supply chain functions.
  • Identify and address potential retention risks among key supply chain talent, devising solutions to support talent sustainability.
  • Drive process improvement and best practice adoption in compensation-related business processes across the global supply chain organization.
  • Lead or participate in special projects and initiatives related to compensation strategy, policy development, and organizational transformation within supply chain.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Person:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in Compensation, Total Rewards, or related HR disciplines, with significant experience supporting global supply chain or manufacturing functions. Experience with union and non-union workforces preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in global compensation strategy, design, and administration, including hourly wage scales and market pricing for supply chain roles.
  • Proven leadership experience managing compensation teams or large-scale projects
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred) and advanced compensation analytics.
  • Strong decision-making, critical thinking, and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing senior leadership.
  • Excellence in customer focus: ability to collaborate, consult, and partner with global HR and business leaders to provide thought leadership and drive results.
  • Exceptional project management, change management, and communication skills.
  • Superior organizational skills with attention to detail, follow-up, and problem resolution.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle sensitive compensation matters.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CCP) preferred.

The Salary range for this position is $145,600.00 - $259,600.00

  • This is the lowest to highest annual full-time salary range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
