
Strategic financial partner to the Commercial Leadership Team, leading the Commercial FP&A team and reporting to the VP, Commercial Finance.
The Senior Director, Commercial FP&A is a senior financial leader responsible for leading the financial planning, reporting, and analysis function in partnership with the Commercial organization. This person will lead and develop a team of finance business partners with best-in-class tools and processes to efficiently support commercial teams with managing budgets and driving value for the company.
The role will have a team of four (2 Associate Directors, 1 Manager, and 1 Manager/Sr. Analyst/Analyst to be hired) and will work closely with the key Commercial functions across the Psychiatry/Addiction and Sleep Medicine business units, including: Sales; Marketing; Commercial Operations; Market Access; Patient Services; and Data, Analytics and Insights.
This position is being considered for Waltham, Massachusetts working a weekly hybrid office schedule.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Leadership and Team Development
Financial Process Leadership
Contribute to preparation of the monthly financial reporting package including the appropriate level of detail on actual vs. budget analysis and any implications to the quarterly outlook
Lead the Commercial component of the quarterly financial forecast process that updates the organization on the latest best estimate of future financial performance. Provide quality narrative and presentation outlining how changing business activities impact financial expectations
Support management of the Commercial P&L to achieve corporate profitability goals
Perform product line profitability on current products to assess operating cost/benefit analysis, return analysis and long range planning
Business Partnership
Partner with the functional business leaders to provide timely and actionable financial information and analyses to enable sound decision making
Act as liaison between Commercial departments and other key areas (A/P, G/L, Payroll, Procurement and Legal) and assist departments to manage the procurement process; ensure SOWs/POs are within budget
Collaborate cross-functionally to perform ROI analyses on proposed investments to ensure appropriate and efficient allocation of resources across the Commercial portfolio
Serve as primary contact for all activities related to Commercial FP&A

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $214,000 to $245,000. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual performance pay bonus.
