What’s the role

As a Senior Direct Tax Specialist, you will support and deliver activities within the Manage Direct Tax (MDT) team, gaining strong exposure to Direct Tax Compliance and Group Reporting. In this role, you will also act as an individual contributor, primarily responsible for preparing a select number of highly complex and material legal entities in Brazil, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Given the technical expertise and language requirements, we also welcome applications from Brazilian candidates who are willing to relocate to Poland under local employment terms.

What you’ll be doing

  • Deliver tax calculations and reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual direct tax provisions, including related advance tax payments

  • Perform calculations and reporting for monthly indirect taxes on revenue, including associated tax payments

  • Utilize and operate tax provisioning and compliance tools effectively

  • Monitor Group Accounting and Reporting updates and ensure relevant changes are accurately incorporated into processes

  • Prepare monthly and ad hoc tax returns as required

  • Support the onshore team in the preparation of annual tax returns

  • Ensure timely submission of internal reports for direct tax reconciliations to controllers

  • Perform and maintain reconciliations of various tax accounts

  • Deliver quarterly submissions of direct tax key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Resolve complex direct tax issues, including variance analysis, plausibility checks, and dry-run assessments, while coordinating with relevant stakeholders

  • Provide support for quarterly and annual audits (internal, external, and tax authorities)

  • Develop templates and compile information to respond to inquiries from tax authorities and internal stakeholders

  • Provide strong, accurate, and timely support to Business Groups in managing business-related tax risks

  • Own SOX controls and ensure their effectiveness and compliance

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field

  • Fluency in English and Portuguese

  • 5–6 years of experience in accounting or finance within a multinational environment

  • 3–4 years of experience in direct tax calculations and tax return preparation

  • Solid understanding of international direct tax standards

  • Experience working with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, SUN, JDE, Oracle, or PeopleSoft) is an advantage

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively under time pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Proven stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to collaborate across different time zones
