Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with key stakeholders to develop, implement, and facilitate successful onboarding of digital solutions and the adoption of digital platform and solutions into the customer business environment along with their subsequent operations and maintenance. Each day, you will provide consultative assistance in supporting the use of products with the goal to improve productivity and efficiency. You will also showcase your expertise by helping the customers to achieve their solution goals and objectives by leveraging domain expertise and knowledge on ABB's digital solutions.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

This role is contributing to the Automation Business Area in Lima, Perú.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Testing and troubleshooting the final system setup and ensuring its successful rollout through training and retraining the customers to understand the software and its benefits and providing subsequent ongoing support and services.
• Participating in the assigned stages of the end-to-end customer lifecycle including digital opportunity identification, opportunity qualification, discovery and value engineering, solution blueprinting, PoC / pilot, solution deployment, and post go-live operations/support.
• Executing ideation workstreams from identifying needs to validate and define development together with cross-functional teams of digital software engineers, user experience, and subject matter experts for value creation.
• Supporting customers right from the sales cycle through the go-live, post-implementation review, and subsequent follow-up stages.
• Further developing and implementing the sales strategy for the digital portfolio.
• Taking responsibility for the systematic development of the sales pipeline, actively pursuing opportunities through to successful closure to ensure budget achievement.
• Analyzing customer needs and leveraging your knowledge of the ABB portfolio to develop tailored and effective digital solutions that deliver optimal customer outcomes, measurable added value, and sustainable innovation potential.
• Meet with clients to understand business processes, needs, and expectations, and conduct discovery workshops to identify challenges and objectives
• Solution Design: Develop and present tailored solutions, including software, hardware, or cloud-based systems, mapping product capabilities to client requirements
• Follow up with end customer or via Account Managers their decision-making process and manage objections
• Run discovery value assessments at sites

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• 15+ years of professional experience in industrial, mining, automation, digitalization, or related environments, with strong knowledge of mining industrial processes.
• Strong expertise in industrial data architecture and OT/IT integration, with the ability to connect systems, technologies, and data across the organization.
• Knowledge of AI and Machine Learning applications for industrial processes, as well as Industrial Cybersecurity and OT environments.
• Strategic and systems-thinking mindset, with the ability to identify and lead opportunities for industrial systems integration and digital transformation.
• Advanced English proficiency and availability to travel.
