Job Description

About this role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Digital Product Manager to help define, scale, and optimize the Digital Capabilities platform supporting Commercial Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking customers. This role sits within the Digital Capabilities team, which delivers shared services, reusable components, and foundational digital experiences that power customer-facing channels across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and intellectually curious product leader who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving ambiguous problems, and can evaluate solutions through customer, business, and technical lenses. This is a platform-focused role requiring someone who can identify patterns across diverse use cases and drive scalable solutions that can be built once and leveraged across multiple products and experiences.

Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, the ability to synthesize information from various stakeholders, comfort engaging in technical discussions, and a proactive approach to challenging assumptions, asking thoughtful questions, and driving clarity.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of shared digital capabilities that enable scalable, reusable experiences across Commercial Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking platforms.

  • Partner with Design, Engineering, Architecture, Data, Risk, Compliance, and Product teams to identify common customer and business needs and translate them into platform solutions.

  • Evaluate complex business problems across multiple use cases and determine how capabilities can be designed for maximum reuse, scalability, and long-term value.

  • Lead product discovery, requirements definition, and solution analysis to ensure capabilities meet current and future business needs.

  • Facilitate discussions with technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts into clear business outcomes and product decisions.

  • Drive prioritization decisions by balancing customer experience, business objectives, technical feasibility, risk, compliance, and operational considerations.

  • Troubleshoot and triage complex product challenges by identifying root causes, dependencies, and practical paths forward.

  • Define and measure product success through adoption metrics, customer insights, platform utilization, and business outcomes.

  • Manage product backlogs, requirements, and delivery plans while maintaining alignment across stakeholder groups and dependent teams.

  • Influence organizational decisions through strong communication, critical thinking, and data-driven recommendations.

  • Mentor and provide guidance on platform product management best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Digital Product Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications

  • Platform product management experience focused on shared services, reusable capabilities, enterprise platforms, or design systems.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and make sound product recommendations.

  • Demonstrated success identifying patterns across diverse use cases and developing scalable solutions that support multiple products or customer journeys.

  • Comfort engaging in technical discussions with engineers, architects, and technology partners, including understanding system dependencies and evaluating tradeoffs.

  • Naturally curious and proactive problem solver who asks thoughtful questions, challenges assumptions, and seeks to understand root causes.

  • Experience influencing stakeholders and driving alignment in highly matrixed organizations.

  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver digital products, platforms, or enterprise capabilities.

  • Experience working with Agile teams and managing product backlogs, priorities, and stakeholder expectations.

  • Educational background in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Physical Sciences, or other analytical disciplines.

  • Experience with web UI frameworks, design systems, digital platforms, SaaS applications, or enterprise technology ecosystems.

  • Knowledge of customer identity and access management, authentication, authorization, fraud prevention, entitlements, content management, collaboration tools, customer experience analytics, or related digital capabilities.

  • Exposure to technologies and platforms such as Ping Identity, RSA, Actimize, NuData, Tableau, Optimizely, Glassbox, Documentum, SDL Tridion, SQL, MongoDB, or Data Lake architectures.

What will make you successful

  • You think in terms of platforms, patterns, and scalability rather than one-off solutions.

  • You are resourceful, self-directed, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.

  • You excel at connecting dots across teams, products, and customer needs.

  • You are comfortable collaborating with engineers and architects and can confidently discuss technical concepts.

  • You proactively engage stakeholders, uncover requirements others may overlook, and drive clarity through thoughtful questions.

  • You can quickly assess complex situations, identify root causes, and guide teams toward practical solutions.

  • You balance strategic thinking, execution discipline, and customer-focused decision-making.
