The Senior Digital Marketing Coordinator leads the strategy and guides execution of digital initiatives across Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s websites and digital platforms. This role requires strong expertise in website user experience, SEO and project management, as well as a solid understanding of technical website applications, including basic HTML and website infrastructure. The individual works closely with our developer(s) to prioritize the backlog and assists in planning sprints that align with business and leader priorities. They exhibit ownership and accountability and have an innate drive to proactively identify opportunities, drive projects from initiation to completion, and ensure strategic alignment with business goals. This role is best suited for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with strategic thinking and can confidently collaborate across teams to deliver measurable results.

Experience

  • 3 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or communications

  • Content management system (CMS) experience

  • Experience in SEO, digital paid media acquisition or marketing automation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing large-scale digital projects and multiple priorities

  • Strong content management system (CMS) experience, preferably Sitecore

  • Experience with SEO (content and technical)

  • Experience managing a backlog and working closely with developers to move tickets through internal development processes

  • Certification and/or experience with Agile Development is a plus

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or related field

  • Strong knowledgeof website UX and information architecture best practices (navigation, page structure, content hierarchy)
  • Technical SEOexpertise(metadata, site structure, page performance, schema, etc.).
  • Experience with content management systems and a fundamental understanding of how websites are built (to communicate effectively withdevelopers).
  • Understanding ofAgile/product ownership concepts (backlogs, sprints, user stories, acceptance criteria).
  • Solid project and stakeholder management skills, including scoping, timelines, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Clear, persuasive communication skills for explaining digital/UX/SEO concepts to non-technical partners and leadership.
  • Strategic,solutions-oriented mindset; able to view the website as a product serving users and business goals andto prioritizea backlog accordingly.
  • UX skills, including mapping user journeys, defining user flows, structuring navigation, and evaluating page layouts for clarity and usability.
  • Ability to mentor and coach others in digital best practices and elevate overall team capability.
  • Ability tofacilitatealignment, driveconsensus, andmovecross-functional teams forward whilemaintainingstrong attention to detail across multiple projects and deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serves as product owner for content and information architecture on the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta external facing websites, focusing on user experience,governanceand alignment with best practices.
  • ​​ Acts as the primary liaison between the digital team and IS&T, leading website-related development projects, timelines, and vendor partnerships. ​​
  • Asks insightful questions and ensuresstrategic alignment with stakeholdersbefore kicking off a project.Able to create clear project plans with tasks, owners,milestonesand communication cadence.
  • Guides website strategy with initiative andcuriosity, ensuring alignment with business goals, marketingcampaignsand user needs.
  • Collaborates onSEO initiatives, including technical audits, keyword strategy, and performance tracking.
  • Proactive inidentifyingopportunities to enhance website platforms andoptimizedigital campaignsbased on site engagement data and user insights.
  • Analyze site engagement and user behavior; design andmaintainanalytics reports and present insights and recommendations to improve performance, UX, lead generation, anduserengagement.
  • Oversees content governance processes to ensure quality, accessibility, and consistency across digital platforms.
