Job Description

Temporary position for 12months.

As a Senior Digital Experience Standardization Advisor for English content, you play a key role in guiding and facilitating user experience decisions across Desjardins Group. You ensure the digital experience framework is applied consistently to support the delivery of high-performing, accessible experiences. The framework includes the design system, as well as accessibility and consistency standards. You also consider business contexts, platforms and the operational realities of each sector. You serve as a strategic advisor across various business sectors (personal and business services, marketing, property and casualty insurance, wealth management, and life and health insurance). You analyze user journeys, behaviours, content and business needs to develop recommendations. You help teams make informed decisions in complex projects¸ ensuring their decisions are sound and aligned across products, user journeys, platforms and sectors. You also help develop content standards and guidelines in the design system. You may mentor specialists, advisors and senior advisors in your area of expertise, English digital content. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Help develop the Desjardins design system. This involves establishing and maintaining English content standards, guidelines and principles to ensure a consistent experience across digital platforms (authenticated, non-authenticated, web and mobile).
  • Write and maintain component documentation, including usage guidelines, examples, writing principles and content design best practices, to promote adoption and reuse across teams.
  • Create and update content guides, standards, content libraries and other English reference materials, and share them with design teams and business sectors.
  • Develop content strategy for English digital experiences, taking into account user needs, business objectives, data and operational constraints.
  • Help design teams apply content standards and resolve complex issues related to user experience, content design and consistency across user journeys.
  • Analyze content and user journeys to identify inconsistencies, assess their impact and recommend ways to improve the user experience at scale.
  • Drive the adoption of content standards by leading workshops, supporting teams and influencing stakeholders across the organization.
  • Stay current on emerging trends, practices and innovations relating to content design, user experience, accessibility and artificial intelligence to help develop organizational practices.
  • Contribute to the standardization team’s backlog and assess the complexity and effort required for each item to inform project and task planning.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Extensive experience in UX writing, localization, content design, plain language writing or digital content strategy
  • Experience in developing and shaping content guidelines, content libraries, components and reusable templates
  • Strong command of written and spoken French
  • Advanced proficiency in English due to the nature of the duties and work tools and because the position involves interacting with English-speaking partners, members and clients
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • Knowledge of user-centric design principles, digital accessibility and design systems
  • Knowledge of the memoQ translation tool
  • Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in Figma or equivalent digital design tools
