Nordic Air Defence, headquartered in Stockholm, develops cutting-edge defence systems for both civilian and military applications. We combine expertise in electronics, mechanical design, embedded systems, software engineering, and AI.

In September 2024, Nordic Air Defence unveiled its first product, the Kreuger 100, a dual-use drone-interceptor platform engineered in Sweden by a diverse, international team. About the role

We are looking for a Senior Digital Designer to help build and evolve the visual identity of Nordic Air Defence across digital, physical, and commercial touchpoints.

This is a hands-on senior design role for someone with extensive professional experience, exceptional visual judgment, strong systems thinking, and the ability to quickly translate creative direction into distinctive, highly polished work. You will work closely with our Creative Director and Head of Brand across brand identity, brand system, web experiences, product communications, presentations, and other key brand applications.

The role requires both conceptual strength and executional excellence. You should be comfortable moving between high-level visual ideas and detailed production work in a fast-moving environment while helping to build a coherent design system that can scale with the company as we continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Digital Designer, you will:

• Develop Nordic Air Defence's visual identity across digital, physical, and commercial applications together with the Creative Director.
• Design and maintain scalable brand systems, templates, and visual guidelines.
• Create high-quality design assets for web, presentations, marketing materials, product communication, and internal initiatives.
• Translate creative direction into polished and impactful visual solutions and complete visual systems.
• Develop and refine typography, layouts, grids, and visual frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with the Creative Director and Head of Brand to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
• Contribute to the development of digital experiences, including websites, user interfaces, and responsive design solutions.
• Help establish design processes and systems that support long-term growth and scalability.

Requirements

Brand & Visual Identity

• Experience designing logos and identity systems.
• Strong concept development and ideation skills.
• Expertise in typography, layout, and grid systems.
• Experience creating and implementing brand applications.
• Ability to build and maintain templates and brand libraries.

Digital & Web

• Strong experience in web and responsive design.
• UX/UI design expertise.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms and low-code web implementation.
• Understanding of front-end development principles.

Communication & Content Design

• Experience creating presentations and information design materials.
• Ability to communicate technical, informational, and commercial content visually.
• Experience designing across multiple channels and platforms.
• Strong systems thinking around the work.

Nice to have

• Motion design, 3D design, or product visualization experience using tools such as Unreal Engine, Cinema 4D, or Blender.
• Familiarity with CAD workflows or manufacturing processes.
• Experience in interactive or immersive web design.
• Product and physical brand design experience, including CMF, product graphics, or product marking.
• Experience from the defence, aerospace, robotics, or advanced technology sectors.
• Strong sketching and rapid visual ideation capabilities.

Form of employment: Full-time with an initial 6-month probation period

Reporting to: Creative Director & Head of Brand

Work permit: You are a citizen of a NATO country and have a legal right to work in Sweden.
