The Role

We’re looking for a highly creative and versatile Senior Designer with strong motion, layout and illustration skills to join our dynamic Creative Services team. This role blends storytelling, animation, and visual artistry to produce compelling static & motion content across digital platforms. You’ll be responsible for conceptualising and executing animated assets that elevate our brand, campaigns, and client projects—bringing ideas to life through motion and illustration. You will be managing two designers, ensuring they are producing high quality on brand work and making sure they are supported in their development goals. This role blends creativity with strategic thinking to produce content that drives engagement, communicates brand messages, and supports broader marketing goals.

Key Responsibilities

Motion & Social Design:

• Design and produce high-quality visual content (static, animated, and short-form video) for platforms such as websites, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and Pinterest.
• Develop storyboards, style frames, static and motion concepts in collaboration with creative leads.
• Animate typography, characters, and visual elements with attention to timing, pacing, and emotion.
• Collaborate with the social media team to understand content strategies, target audiences, and performance insights.
• Ensure all designs are optimised for mobile-first viewing and meet accessibility standards.
• Strong understanding of social media content formats, dimensions, and platform requirements.
• A strong understanding of UX/UI design.

Illustration:

• Produce original illustrations that align with brand guidelines and project needs.
• Translate complex ideas into clear, engaging visuals.
• Collaborate with designers and writers to ensure illustrations enhance storytelling

Creative Collaboration & Team Management:

• Work closely with designers, copywriters, and marketers to deliver cohesive creative outputs.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to concept development.
• Adapt designs based on feedback while maintaining creative integrity.
• Lead, coach and manage two designers in Egypt, supporting on their development and reviewing work to ensure high quality.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• 10+ years as a digital designer
• Proven experience managing designers
• Proven experience as social first motion designer, ideally within an agency or in-house creative team.
• Strong portfolio showcasing animation and illustration work.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop.) Premier Pro a plus.
• Experience in UX/UI design
• Experience with basic video editing and animation (GIFs, motion graphics).
• Excellent understanding of design principles for layout work, animation techniques, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of current design and social trends.
• Strong communication skills.
• Open to feedback with a willingness to learn and evolve.
• A collaborative team player who brings positive energy to the team.
