System Planning Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Your Role

As a System Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting power system studies and network planning activities to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical transmission and distribution systems. You will work closely with utility customers, engineering teams, and stakeholders to evaluate system performance, identify constraints, and recommend network reinforcement solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Perform power system planning and network capability assessments.
• Execute load flow, contingency, short-circuit, and stability studies for transmission and distribution networks.
• Analyze system constraints and develop reinforcement and expansion recommendations.
• Evaluate grid performance under various operating and future planning scenarios.
• Support integration studies for renewable energy sources and emerging technologies.
• Interpret study results and prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality planning solutions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable grid codes, standards, and utility requirements.
• Utilize simulation and analysis tools to model, evaluate, and optimize power system performance.

Your Profile

• 5+ years of experience in Power System Planning, Network Studies, or Grid Analysis.
• Strong understanding of electrical power systems, transmission and distribution networks.
• Hands-on experience performing load flow, contingency, fault level, and stability analysis.
• Experience in developing technical recommendations for system reinforcement and network expansion.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
