Product Delivery provides strategic guidance to the De Beers – Midstream business and sets the standards for the Partner Diamond Trading Company’s functions to ensure best in class operations that are continuously improving and ensures the sustainable delivery of the product that is suitable for the customers.

The Aggregation, Sight Management department’s main deliverable is to produce consistent and accurate diamond administration that is completed on schedule to agreed standards, from arrival through to export which is paramount to maintaining customer confidence and good relations.

The department operates to a rigorous planning schedule combined with various confirmation and quality assurance procedures to ensure that deadlines and quality targets are met. As part of this process, staff is required to display a multi-skilled and flexible work ethic, supporting all processes throughout the DBGSS pipeline.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

The role is responsible to finalise the signing off on all DBGSS’s selling assortments in terms of product integrity and value. Thus ensuring a creditable product is delivered to DBGSS’s customers, the brand is protected and diamond revenue. Is maintained.

• Complete sign off on all selling assortments both stock and new intakes prior to physical aggregation.
• Complete sign off on all resorted product returns and ad hoc diamond valuations.
• Gather producer import price valuations through Supply Chain Manager, in order to understand import valuations and current stock valuations to make the appropriate decisions relating to the final aggregated selling valuation.
• Work closely with the 2 Diamond Consultants and Key Account Managers, in order to deliver effective pricing decision.
• Build strong customer relations with Sightholders and Diamond Brokers in order to gather feedback on selling mixtures/assortments.
• Build strong external stakeholder relationships with Government Diamond representatives from Botswana and Namibia to discuss any possible change and impact to the DBGSS product/brand.
• Solely responsible for valuing and agreeing Botswana Government Valuators the entire Debswana +10.8 carat production in accordance to the Sales Agreement.

Qualifications

Education required:

Undergraduate qualification (Bachelor’s/Honours Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline. e.g. Business/Operations Management or Proven track record of extensive practical experience in rough diamond sorting, evaluation, buying and selling.

Experience & knowledge required:

• Demonstrable experience of working at a senior level in diamond product delivery to the DBGSS pre-defined standards.

• Demonstrable evidence of working at senior level in cross functional teams
• High level customer relationship exposure
• Proven engagement with external stakeholder relationships.
• Proven ability to impact the company/business in strategic growth through innovation of products.
