ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a
Senior DevOps Engineer
to support a Dev Environments team in achieving infrastructure optimization, cost-saving automation, and operational excellence for internal developer tooling and cloud environments. You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, manage infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible on AWS, write Python automation scripts, and track SLOs and support metrics for internal stakeholders. The role promotes SRE best practices and contributes to ongoing platform improvements through backlog-driven delivery.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Support the Dev Environments team in achieving its objectives and strategic initiatives;
- Contribute to DevLab and Cloud VM cost-saving efforts through infrastructure optimization and automation;
- Provide ongoing technical support to internal stakeholders and ensure a high-quality user experience;
- Track and maintain support metrics and Service Level Objectives (SLOs);
- Participate in backlog refinement and deliver improvements and enhancements as team capacity permits;
- Promote and implement Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and operational excellence best practices.
MUST HAVES
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a related infrastructure engineering role;
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Linux administration;
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools, including Terraform and Ansible;
- Strong Python scripting skills;
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitLab CI;
- Solid understanding of monitoring, observability, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles;
- Upper-intermediate English level.
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes;
- Exposure to backend application development and microservices architectures;
- Knowledge of infrastructure and application security best practices.
