Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Vancouver team.

In this role, play a pivotal role in building and maintaining high-performance systems capable of processing terabytes of data daily. Your mission will be to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our critical systems, directly impacting our customers. You will work closely with software engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to build resilient systems that support high-scale production environments and accelerate software delivery.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Enable developers to operate highly available, performant, scalable and cost-efficient applications
  • Drive improvements to the reliability and resiliency of managed services and infrastructure
  • Partner with development teams to improve services and best practices into the SDLC
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers across all experience levels
  • Utilize industry standard tools and best practices to meet the evolving needs of our internal engineers, developers and external customers
  • Apply deep understanding of DevOps and SRE Best Practices
  • Manage Cloud provider infrastructure, system deployments & product release operations
  • Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance the efficiency of our infrastructure.
  • Participate in system design consulting, platform management and capacity planning
  • Develop and maintain documentation on system architecture, operations, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, using a follow-the-sun model (24/7 global support coverage)

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in DevOps Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering
  • A strong combination of technical experience, hands-on capability, technical leadership experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in handling multi-cloud environments
  • Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes, Karpenter, cluster autoscaling, or similar platforms is required
  • Expertise with Linux system administration, networking and security, ideally in a Cloud environment
  • Strong proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm
  • Expertise with modern CI/CD systems such as ArgoCD, GitHub Actions
  • Experience in using, monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Experience with microservices architectures and debugging/investigation techniques.
  • Scripting knowledge – proficiency with Python, Bash, PowerShell, JS or similar languages
  • Adept in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $113,900 to $147,400 and reflects base salary only. Actual pay will be determined based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, competencies, qualifications, relevant skills and experience.
