
Sr. DevOps Engineer
Why This is an Exciting Role:
As a DevOps Systems Administrator at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics, your role will encompass a range of responsibilities crucial to the smooth functioning of our IT systems. You will be tasked with performing systems administration on server systems connected to local and wide area networks, ensuring they are operating efficiently and securely. This includes:
Providing support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems, as well as managing the infrastructure and processes related to these systems.
Developing infrastructure, task automation, provision managed services, and leveraging Python, Ansible, and Terraform programming languages.
Patching, hardening, and maintaining compliance of RHEL
Install, configure, and provide performance support for Kubernetes, Docker, Nifi, and cloud metrics collection tools.
Managing commercial cloud computing platforms (AWS).
Administering, optimizing, and securing databases and storage systems such as: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, and/or Kafka
Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.
Working with logging, monitoring, and observability platforms such as: Kibana and/or Prometheus
Designing and maintaining dashboards, alerts, and metrics for proactive system health monitoring
Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education and Years of Experience:
13 Years of experience in Software or Systems Engineering roles or a highly related field of work with similar scope and responsibilities.
A Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience and a Master’s Degree may be substituted for 6 years of experience
Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
Current certification that is DOD 8140 compliant at the Intermediate or Advanced Level (Security+, CISSP, CCSP etc.)
Strong PaaS experience
Experience configuring and managing LINUX operating systems.
Experience investigating and resolving technical issues.
Experience using CI/CD tools for DevOps pipelines
Kubernetes experience
Strong AWS background
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation, terraform)
Demonstrated experience with configuration management tools such as (Puppet / Ansible / Chef / Salt).
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
Experience using with Jira and Confluence.
Experience with DevOps pipeline and optimizing code.
Knowledge of Docker or other container tools.

Pay Range:

$170,000 - $211,400
