Ciklum is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team full-time in Slovakia.

About the role:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

The client's platform enables energy utilities to unlock the full value of a radically changing energy system and propel us to a future where renewable energy is sustainable, affordable and accessible for all. From automating and simplifying core operations including billing to create a lower-cost, higher-engagement experience, to optimising energy usage across smart devices in the home, we turn tough challenges into win-win-win outcomes for customers, suppliers and the energy system.

Responsibilities:

• Support with implementation of more complex AWS workflows
• Design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant, and secure AWS architectures at scale. Contribute to the overall cloud strategy and roadmap
• Build complex CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and configuration management for large-scale applications
• Proactively analyze infrastructure performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies for cost and efficiency
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex system-wide issues, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventative measures
• Design and enforce secure infrastructure patterns, conduct security audits, and drive security initiatives
• Mentor team members, foster a culture of continuous learning, and share best practices within the organization
• Stay updated on emerging DevOps tools and AWS services, evaluating their potential impact and driving adoption

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps engineering role with significant AWS experience
• Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale AWS solutions
• Deep knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and design patterns
• Excellent skills in CloudFormation, Terraform, or other IaC tools
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and architect robust solutions
• Extensive experience with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and microservices architectures
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Desirable:

• Expertise in configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
• Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Security Specialty)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash)
• In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, VPC design and network security
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS)

The salary starts at 3400 Eur gross. The final salary depends on the previous experience and professional knowledge of the candidate.
