About the Role
The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for the continuous integration, automation, and continuous deployment of applications and systems both internally and externally. In this role, you will design and support CI/CD platforms, drive automation strategies, diagnose complex systems issues, and partner cross-functionally to develop practical solutions. If you're a hands-on DevOps engineer with a passion for automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, this role is for you.

Your Role Responsibilities — Here's What You'll Do
- Design a continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) platform; assist with the design and implementation of solutions to automate the deployment of applications.
- Develop and execute best practices including providing solution architectures and strategy for adoption; design monitoring and management tools and deployment processes to provide visibility with a focus on high availability.
- Partner with respective departments to develop practical automation solutions; participate in cross-functional team meetings to collaborate and ensure successful execution.
- Diagnose complex systems issues with multiple influencing factors; maintain internal documentation that fully reflects all activity related to an application and environment to be used by applicable teams.
- Support performance and test automation integration into the CI/CD pipeline; troubleshoot and resolve operational issues and assist in resolving complex issues arising from product upgrades, installations, and configurations.
- Participate in professional associations, outreach activities, or appropriate educational opportunities to stay current on industry best practices and relevant technical skills.
Role Essentials — What You Bring
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps release management tools, with experience managing service container-based platforms and experience with configuration management tools.
- Experience in Linux and Windows administration, with experience with scripting tools and experience with configuration and administration of enterprise web applications.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment SaaS environments, with experience working with key internal stakeholders and the ability to collaborate effectively with employees, customers, and partners from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with cross-functional teams, as a fast learner who is highly organized and experienced in demonstrating focus to complete the highest priorities.
What We'd Like to See — Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing CI/CD platforms and deployment automation solutions at scale.
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex systems issues with multiple influencing factors while maintaining accurate internal documentation.
- Experience supporting performance and test automation integration into CI/CD pipelines, with a track record of troubleshooting and resolving complex operational issues.
- Active engagement with professional associations, industry communities, or ongoing education to stay current on DevOps best practices and emerging technologies.
