About the Team
This is a newly created opportunity to shape the RBA’s next-generation on-premises infrastructure services and contribute to the Bank’s DevOps and automation capabilities. The team is responsible for the transition and operationalisation of the new infrastructure platforms currently being implemented.

About the role
Reporting to the Systems Services Team Lead, this role requires deep expertise in on-premises infrastructure, including VMware, Windows Server, and Linux Server environments. You will play a key role in leading the design, implementation, and optimisation of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation capabilities.
You will develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, drive pipeline standardisation, and ensure DevOps platforms align with the Bank’s governance, security, and operational requirements. The role also involves providing technical leadership on DevOps tooling and platforms, collaborating with Agile delivery teams, and contributing to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
About you
You are a highly skilled DevOps engineer with a passion for modernisation and automation. You bring a strong technical foundation and a collaborative mindset:
Terraform Certified with deep knowledge of the HashiCorp toolset (Vault, Terraform, Packer)
Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git, GitLab, Artifactory, or similar technologies
Strong scripting and automation skills in two or more technologies such as PowerShell, JavaScript, YAML, Java, or .NET
Expertise in Windows Server or Red Hat Linux operating systems
Experience with VMware ESXI 7 or later
Proficient in configuration management using Puppet or similar tools
Skilled in application packaging and deployment using Chocolatey, Artifactory, and Red Hat Satellite or similar tools
Familiarity with Cisco Intersight for infrastructure management
Strong understanding of governance, change management, audit, and risk management practices
Experience working within Agile delivery environments, including Scrum and Kanban.
Tertiary qualifications relevant to Information Technology or a related discipline
Industry accreditations that have been maintained to current levels; or working towards within 12 months, including: Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert and HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
