About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic DevOps Expert with proven technical expertise in implementing DevOps practices. You will provide clear direction to management and teams to enhance efficiency, quality, and the developer experience within the STP tribe.

The STP tribe manages the communication layer for messaging and file transfers, ensuring secure and highly available services across the Euroclear group. A major transition to cloud infrastructure is planned for next year.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Cross-Division Collaboration

  • Participate in and occasionally lead strategic discussions across IT and DevOps divisions.
  • Align DevOps initiatives with broader business and technology goals.
  • Represent DevOps in cross-functional forums, advocate for modern practices, and influence technology direction.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Lead, coach, and mentor DevOps engineers and related roles within the STP tribe.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance.
  • Support squads in adopting and refining Agile and DevOps methodologies.

Best Practices Definition & Enforcement

  • Define, document, and promote DevOps best practices in automation, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and security.
  • Regularly review and update standards to reflect evolving technologies and organizational needs.

Automation & Continuous Improvement

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
  • Identify and drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

Infrastructure & Operations Oversight

  • Lead the design and management of cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Ensure robust, secure, and scalable environments.
  • Oversee monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis for high system availability.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Act as a trusted advisor, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure DevOps priorities are understood and supported.
  • Facilitate regular cross-team discussions to share insights, surface risks, and align priorities.

Performance Measurement & Reporting

  • Define and track KPIs and metrics for DevOps initiatives.
  • Use data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Report progress, challenges, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.

Security, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Integrate security best practices into DevOps workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and proactively manage risks.

Knowledge Sharing & Community Building

  • Share expertise and lessons learned across teams and divisions.
  • Build a strong DevOps community and support the adoption of new tools and practices.

Required Qualifications Technical Expertise

  • Strong experience in implementing DevOps practices using Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Solid understanding of build practices in .NET and containerization.
  • Experience designing, managing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in managing cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor DevOps engineers.
  • Experience fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Track record of contributing to strategic discussions across IT and DevOps divisions.

Best Practices & Continuous Improvement

  • Ability to define, document, and promote DevOps best practices across key domains.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in highly regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and collaboration with outsourced/offshored teams in large organizations.
  • Technical and business knowledge in the financial industry.
