Job Description

The Senior DevOps Engineer will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will collaborate closely with our development, operations, and security teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems. This role requires strong technical expertise in cloud computing, automation, and CI/CD practices, as well as leadership skills to guide and mentor junior engineers. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a passion for technology and a track record of driving operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines to support our applications and services.
• Architect and build scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based solutions using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline our deployment processes and infrastructure management.
• Implement and enforce security measures to protect our infrastructure and data from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
• Lead incident response and resolution efforts to minimize downtime and impact on our business operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements, project timelines, and resource allocations.
• Mentor and coach junior DevOps engineers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to help them grow and develop their skills.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in DevOps, cloud computing, and automation, and evaluate new tools and frameworks to improve our development process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or system administration roles, with a focus on cloud-based infrastructure and deployment automation.
• Expertise in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
• Understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Leadership abilities with a track record of leading DevOps initiatives and mentoring junior engineers.
