Job Description

Are you a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer passionate about driving efficiency, scalability, and reliability in data-driven and AI-powered solutions?

At BESTSELLER, we are seeking an experienced engineer to take ownership of the delivery and operations surface behind Appretio, our AI-powered merchandising platform that is transforming retail, wholesale, and e-commerce across our global brands.

YOUR TEAM
You'll join our dynamic Merchandising Solutions department, comprising over 20 highly skilled professionals, including data scientists, software engineers, and application developers. Our team thrives on collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning, united by a mission to deliver state-of-the-art analytics and AI solutions that empower BESTSELLER's global operations. Your primary workplace will be at our vibrant office in Aarhus.

YOUR NEW ROLE
As Senior DevOps Engineer, you will take technical ownership of our CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and observability practices. You will work closely with platform and application engineers to build and operate environments that empower efficient, secure, and stable application and data development - keeping the path from "commit" to "running reliably in production" short, safe, and repeatable.

YOUR IMPACT
In this senior role, you will:

  • Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions across our services and data products.
  • Run and continuously improve Kubernetes-based deployments using Terraform, Helm, and modern GitOps practices.
  • Own observability - logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting - using Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
  • Drive reliability practices (SLOs, incident response, blameless postmortems) across Appretio's services and data pipelines.
  • Automate security and compliance into the software delivery lifecycle - supply chain, secrets management, image scanning, and policy-as-code.
  • Collaborate with backend, frontend, data engineering, and data science teams to streamline development and improve deployment cycles.

YOUR BENEFITS
Joining BESTSELLER means working in a vibrant, innovative environment where your decisions make immediate, tangible impacts.

You will:

  • Engage with an expert, collaborative team committed to innovation and excellence.
  • Access comprehensive professional growth opportunities, including specialized training programs and international exposure.
  • Benefit from extensive support for ongoing education, certification, and skill development.

YOUR PROFILE
You are an experienced DevOps or SRE professional passionate about automation, reliability, and agile methodologies. You are pragmatic, operations-minded, and comfortable close to production. Your expertise includes:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience managing cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Terraform, and infrastructure as code.
  • Strong CI/CD expertise with tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
  • Solid understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Strong scripting abilities (Python, Bash, or similar).
  • A security-first mindset and experience automating security controls in pipelines.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

The following qualifications would also be advantageous:

  • SRE practices in production - SLOs, error budgets, chaos engineering.
  • Familiarity with data engineering and AI workloads (Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka).
  • DevSecOps experience - SBOMs, SLSA, policy-as-code tools such as OPA.

WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU
