About the role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Reconomy Group, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS platforms. You will work collaboratively with development teams to automate deployment processes, implement infrastructure as code, and ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our systems. Your role is critical in bridging the gap between development and operations, promoting a DevOps culture throughout the organization.
- Deploy and manage Azure and AWS infrastructure components such as Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks and Serverless databases.
- Design and implement scalable, secure cloud architectures
- Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- Streamline deployment processes to improve efficiency and reliability
- Manage configuration and infrastructure as code using tools like Bicep and Terraform.
- Implement version control for infrastructure configurations.
- Extend existing monitoring and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, and other relevant tools.
- Ensure system performance and availability through proactive monitoring.
- Deploy security best practices and standards for Azure and AWS resources, ensuring data protection and compliance.
- Perform security audits and implement improvements.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide timely incident response and issue resolution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and operations teams, to drive a culture of collaboration. Provide technical guidance and support to other teams.
What we need from you
Essential:
- Strong experience working with Azure Infrastructure and services.
- Linux/Ubuntu admin experience.
- Demonstrable skills in automation and scripting
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) Infrastructure as Code tools (Bicep, Terraform) CI/CD pipeline implementation
- Linux system administration Scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Relevant technical education or equivalent experience
- Good communication and teamwork skills A
- Ability to participate in on-call rotations
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment (2 days office, 3 days remote)
Desirable:
- Experience working with AWS Infrastructure and services
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) Multi-cloud environment experience
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm App Gateway, Azure Front Door, Load Balancer AWS EC2, RDS, S3, VPC Azure Service Bus, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos DB Apache and Nginx
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS) DevOps certifications
- Willingness to continuously learn new technologies Interest in sustainability and circular economy
