Who We Are Looking For

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps administrator role, driving cloud transformation, automation, and operational excellence across teams.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Backup & Restore, and other core infrastructure components.
  • Ideally, 3 years of experience in operating physical servers in data center environments.
  • Solid experience in supporting and troubleshooting complex Azure solutions.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform is an advantage.
  • Sound understanding of open source internet applications and their technologies.
  • Possession of relevant Microsoft certifications such as:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • Willingness to obtain certification in the field of technologies used.
  • Modern, DevOps-like way of working.
  • Readiness for on-call duty and assignments outside normal working hours.
  • Close collaboration with Swiss colleagues. Sometimes outside of local business hours.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a high level of customer orientation and service mindset.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative team culture.

What You Bring

  • Act as a primary contact for support-related requests, handling 2nd and 3rd level support for infrastructure and DevOps environments.
  • Analyze and resolve system malfunctions, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Operate and scale container and virtualization environments such as Kubernetes, Azure-Kubernetes and/or Xen Hypervisor.
  • Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab and Azure DevOps; automate virtualization processes using Ansible.
  • Oversee system administration in Linux environments, including web servers (Apache, Tomcat).
  • Support and maintain database systems such as PostgreSQL, MariaDB (+ Galera Cluster) or Azure-SQL.
  • Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell and other scripting tools; manage release/version control using Git.
  • Participate in continuous system monitoring using tools such as Grafana, ensuring system reliability and proactive issue resolution.
