Job Description

[What the role is]

Grant Programme Management 2 supports the onboarding and implementation of grant programmes onto the Business Grants Portal (BGP 2.0).

The team works closely with policy, operations, and system teams to design and deliver scalable, well-governed grant workflows, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and robustness across grant processes.

[What you will be working on]

This portfolio plays a key part in driving grant onboarding and system implementation, as well as ensuring system robustness, risk management, and continuous process improvement.

Grant Onboarding and System Implementation

  • Lead and support the end-to-end onboarding of grant programmes onto BGP 2.0, including the design and configuration of workflows across application, evaluation, approval, and disbursement stages.

  • Coordinate closely with policy, operations, and technical teams to smooth project delivery and alignment of system designs with policy intent, operational requirements, and governance standards.

    • Engage stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document business requirements, translating these into functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.

    • Define system logic, validation rules, and user journeys to support accurate, efficient, and scalable grant processing.

System Assurance, Testing, and Risk Management

  • Identify and assess risks in grant workflows, system logic, and data handling, and design system controls, validations, and guardrails to mitigate risks.

  • Develop and execute user acceptance testing (UAT), including test plans, scenarios, and test cases, to validate system functionality and readiness.

  • Work closely with developers to resolve defects, ensure system stability prior to go-live, and monitor system performance post-implementation for improvements.

Automation and Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes within grant workflows through rule-based processing, auto-checks, and system triggers.

  • Drive continuous enhancements to improve efficiency, turnaround time, user experience, and operational effectiveness.

[What we are looking for]

What You’ll Be Using and Applying

  • Experience in business analysis, system implementation, product or project management, with the ability to translate business and policy requirements into functional system workflows.

  • Strong capability in requirements gathering and documentation (e.g. functional specifications, user stories, process flows) while working across multiple stakeholders.

  • Hands-on experience in UAT planning, testing, and defect resolution to ensure system quality and readiness.

  • Understanding of system controls, validation rules, and risk/governance considerations in process and system design.

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams (e.g. policy, operations, technical) to deliver end-to-end system implementation.

  • Familiarity with automation concepts (e.g. rule-based processing, triggers) to improve efficiency and streamline workflows.
