Senior technical leader to co-manage the web engineering team — owning hands-on full-stack development, backend services, database design, cloud operations, delivery, and stakeholder engagement across enterprise Next.js/React and .NET applications.
Will lead the set of external team members for project delivery
Lead and mentor a team of full-stack and backend engineers
Hands-on development in Next.js and .NET / ASP.NET Core
Architect backend services: REST APIs, background workers, message queues, middleware
Design and optimise PostgreSQL & SQL Server schemas, indexes, stored procedures, query tuning
Manage data access via Entity Framework Core, Dapper, or raw SQL as appropriate
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
Manage cloud deployments on Azure / AWS — AKS, App Services, serverless
Implement Docker & Kubernetes-based microservices infrastructure
Own application security: OWASP, OAuth 2.0, JWT, Azure AD, Key Vault
Drive Agile delivery cadence, sprint planning, and stakeholder reporting
Required Skills & Experience
8–10 yrs in web application development with a strong delivery track record
Strong in Next.js and .NET / ASP.NET Core — full-stack and backend services
Backend: service-oriented design, event-driven architecture, async processing
PostgreSQL — advanced queries, indexing, partitioning, performance tuning, migrations
SQL Server — T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimisation, schema management
ORMs: Entity Framework Core and/or Dapper
Cloud: Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP — PaaS, IaaS, serverless
CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
Containers: Docker, Kubernetes at scale
Security: OWASP Top 10, secure SDLC, GDPR / ISO 27001 awareness
Agile / Scrum team leadership or co-lead experience
Strong stakeholder communication and project management skills
